Replay experts - which series to get?
What makes 5500 series better than 5000 or even 4500? Tried to research a bit but tough to find info on the older series.
I'm thinking Replay because of the ease of networking and moving files to HD for archive purposes. Recommendations?

Do the 5500s have CA (commerical advance)?
I suggest asking the Replay geeks here:

While I would still suggest getting a 50xx over a 55xx if possible, it is trivial to enable CA and IVS on a 55xx. You can find details on AVS and elsewhere.
Other than the lack of IVS and CA in the 55xx (out of the box at least), there aren't any significant differences between it and a 50xx except that the 55xx has a quieter fan than all but the last few 50xx made. Feel free to drop in at AVS for more pre- or post- purchase advice!
