I do not care as long as it is a good series, and as mentioned earlier not a Shaft reinvention.

Very common confusion.

KOJAK starring Telly Savalis a bald police detective (New York?) with an attitude and a sweet tooth for lollipops.

KOLCHAK: The Night Stalker Starring Darren McGavin a detective tracking ghosts and supernatural stuff is what you were thinking of.

No, that will just suck for MANY other reasons.

Rhames > Savalas
Freeman > Generic Irish actor for role of Red

Gleason, Carney >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cedric, Epps

No, I'm pretty sure that was "Starsky and Hutch" who hunted the supernatural.

Kojak patrolled the highways of L.A. on a motorcycle with his Latin partner.

Yeah, Kolchak was the bad FBI agent on X-Files who lost his arm and got possessed by the black oil.

You're all fucked in the head.

Kojak scoured the streets of San Francisco with his partner, who was the son of actor Lloyd Bridges.

Kolchak was about this private investigator who could turn into animals.

I wish you all would check your facts before posting. Morans!!

Jules: "What does Kojak look like?!"
Brett: "He's Black..."
Jules: "Go on."
Brett: He's bald..."
Jules: "Does he look like a bitch?"
Brett: "What?"

I think this could work. Jojak is a big bald guy with attitude that hates street punks. Sounds to me like Rhames could handle that.

It least it's better than Wild Wild West with Will Smith...
