Just finished watching it. Pretty good so far. Too early to tell who I like/don't like at this point.

So, the next episode will be next Monday at 8:30 CDT, or 9:00 CDT? Also, I'll probably be away from a TV on Monday, are there reruns throughout the week on CBS? If so, when?

Too funny! The physical resemblance is definitely there, but the only time I remember her complaining is when Zach2 wanted to walk to the ferry instead of take the taxi.

- I liked how at the start of the show, Mirna was yelling at Charla all the time to hurry up (hello, she's a small person, she has kind of a speed limit), and then when it got to the meat challenge, Charla was the one fifteen yards ahead carrying all of the gear telling meaty Mirna to move it along.

- The Bowling Moms were my pick to go first, but they really surprised me.

- I'm not sure if I like the fact that the first plane/bus/whatever that leaves a city will not necessarily be the first whatever to arrive at the next city. It seems like it adds more of a chance element to the game, but I guess it's not that hard to just ASK when the flights arrive like one of the teams did.

- I can't WAIT to see someone use a Yield.

- What's up with all the Texans and all the falling down?

- I think the soccer twins have red-yellow color blindness, if such a thing exists.

Okay, now that I've read through the thread, I am still not sure about which team I like. I know I don't like the 1st Loser from Big Brother and her dip-shit boyfriend. And Team Dwarf were more annoying than they were entertaining - now if they were mute they would be much, much, much more tolerable.

The only two that they showed carrying the side of beef over their shoulders (that I remember) were Old Man River and Father Time. A few of the others might have but they really didn't show the stragglers except when they went into the walk-in freezer.

I wanted to root for the twins, but they need to slow their asses down and take in their surroundings already - at the same time they need to learn to read and comprehend what the clues are saying.

I kind of like the Father/Daughter duo, but she seemed like a bit of a bitch, but maybe that was her competitive spirit coming out so that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Christie is hot and the only thing Colin did that was retarded was starting off the show by saying that "he may be the most intense person to ever play this game". Just shut up and show your moxie.

I liked the team that lost, but they made a stooooooooopid mistake by giving up that cab so easily.

Chip and his wife seem like they might be entertaining, but apparently they can't read directions either.

I might have rooted for the models, but then he mentioned about giving the Race to God. :rolleyes: I'm religious, but give me a break - God doesn't give two shits about The Amazing Race. It's just like he doesn't give a shit about the NFL, MLB, NBA, etc., etc.

I like the Bowling Moms, but I don't see them lasting longer than half the race. However - I would like to see them prove me wrong.

And the old couple is cute, but they won't have the endurance for this - they are going to get chewed up and spit out by the halfway point.

I can see that military dad's knee giving him problems throughout the race.

That's true, I didn't even think of it, since I've become used to having a FF. It was just that the Yield threw me off and I assumed that it replaced the FF.

I was wondering about the FF too. They never even mentioned it. I figured that couple with the stupid nice guy would have used it.

There still is a fast forward, but it's never mentioned unless it's either used or discussed. From the 7/8 NY Post review:

"While the usual 'route markers,' 'detours,' and 'fast forwards,' are included, this season, there is also a 'yield' at each leg, where one team can elect another team to sit out the race for a set amount of time."
