Ebert and Ropeburn 6/13. Need a recap.

My stupid power went out, so my Tivo couldn't catch it. Then, I set it to tape the late airing, but stupid golf ran long. So I missed my Ebert and Dipnut fix. Anybody care to give me a quick recap of the films, the general thumbage, and any review comments? Thanks!

yeah between his annoying voicechange after the weight loss and him giving what seems like 4 of every 5 movies at least 3 stars......Ebert needs to retire or something.

I don't remember them all but in addition to the above they gave

Stepford Wives -
Ebert, marginal thumbs up
Roeper, thumbs down.

Then they reviewed some smaller films that I knew I would never see so I promptly forgot the names, but they both gave them thumbs up.

Oh, I heard from a friend that the Garfield movie isn't that bad....

You should stop calling him your friend.

Just FYI, you can get your Ebert and Roper audio fix on Monday at: http://tvplex.go.com/buenavista/eber...per/today.html

They have all of their reviews from the past week in audio format, and they are the complete version you see on TV. I usually miss the show during the weekend, so I hear the reviews on the web during the week.

If you listen to the review, it makes sense why he gave it a thumbs up. It captures the spirit of the comic strip. It isn't about the whole plot of the movie but the fact that the movie feels like the comics in the paper.
