Will you watch American Idol in 2005?

This means from start to completion. This does not count the people who watch the first couple shows, but who have had a vested interest in watching the competition all the way from start to finish.

At this point I'd like to say I won't watch but I probably will get suckered in. Although after all the shenanigans of this season, with shitty talent making it very far and great talent being booted much too soon.. I really shouldn't be watching.

Here's me every year:

First Episode: "I'll just watch to see the bad auditions. Ha ha ha."

Last Episode: "I'm still here? CRAP."

The show is like a narcotic.

Yeah, those first episodes are like a train wreck in a karaoke bar. Best sitcom of the year.

The real question: who will be the official "TV Talk Tool" in the AI threads that everybody disagrees with?

Every year, just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

I hope for more self control next season, but somehow I doubt it. I expect I'll be watching that other Fox Tuesday show next year too. *sigh*

Of course. I wouldn't want to bitch about it without at least knowing what I'm bitching about.

Just hoping for some hot chicks who can sing in tune next season. Or better yet, get some of of the rejects from the WB's Superstar.

I only watch the first show or two... just to see who gets the boot. And I can barely stomach THAT. After that, it's "American, what? oh, is THAT still on?"

I didn't watch any shows from the first season... I couldn't get past Ryan Seacrest and his weasel sidekick. I didn't think that any on-screen presence could be more annoying than Bob Saget on "America's Funniest Video"... but they managed to top that.

I don't typically watch it, but mrs bdb wanted to watch one season from start to finish, she no longer has the urge to watch another one.

So no.

No. After seeing this season I believe they have bled the country dry of talent.

I watch American Idol mainly for the judges (and guest judges), not the contestants - so yeah, I'll watch most of the shows next year.

I'll probably watch it off and on. Probably more when they get down to the final 12.

Has there been a different Tool for every season so far?

I've never seen it, so I don't think I'll be starting next year.

I missed all but the last show from the first season. Last year I started watching from the beginning and the rat bastards have had me ever since.

Ditto. I'd rather stare at a blank wall than watch this garbage. My 2¢.

I don't watch them until they reach the final 12. Not because I don't want to see who gets there, but I'm tired of the b.s. they mix into it. 75% of the episodes are "worst ofs". It drove me crazy.

this is me now. I blame everyone on this board for it too. I never watched the 1st season but read everyones comments on it and because of that I started watching from season 2 on. now I couldn't change the channel if my life depended on it.

I'll be watching, although I may skip the initial auditions. With the suck-cess of William Hung, every nitwit who can't sing is going to audition and try to make a quick payoff.

I have yet to watch any season of AI so I highly doubt I will start next year.
