Cold Case - 5/23/04

This is the first episode of Cold Case that I have seen. It really resonated with me. I would have been the same age as the dead girl at the time she died and had friends who made many similar dumb decisions. So for those who are a bit more objective, was this episode particularly good or was it representative of the series as a whole? Is the show really worth watching?

It's a good show. I was sad to see that Kite couldn't get past his own deal and broke it off with Lily.

That Jabba the Hut was truly a gross entity.

I think so

It's probably the second best JB crime show only behind Without A Trace right now.

I think it was one of the better episodes. In my opinion, there have been a lot of stinkers this season.

Well, only about ten minutes of the show was on here because of 50 minutes of covering the weather (tornado warning for what was weather way to the east of the city and out of range of about 90% of their viewers). The local NBC station just used a crawl on the screen but damn CBS affiliate decided they'd ruin this season finale for us.

This was the first episode I've seen since the beginning of the season. It certainly seems to of gotten better.

It's also the first episode I've seen in HD. The present day shots look striking. The flashbacks look worse than standard def. I know the way they show flashbacks is a normal part of the show, but do they have to make it so jarring?

For the most Part I have like this series.

Overall I give this show a solid 'B' for the year.

I like this show, but if I miss it, no big deal. I will try to catch it in reruns. Without A Trace, however, I refuse to miss. It is a far superior show.

But Cold Case is worth watching as well.

Without a Trace was my favorite new show last year and Cold Case is my favorite new show this year. I love the way they use the music from whatever year the crime was committed in to make you feel like you are back in that year. I also love how they have two actors for each characters, one from when the crime was committed and how they would look now, it is very interesting how they film it. There has been some episodes that weren't as good as other but overall it is a great show.
