Now that would be a "Best of" DVD that I would actually buy!

Fixed.

I just wish they showed the "RainbowHead" skit

I could live without 'The Continental' skit though.

It goes on way too long, and after you have seen it once or twice, it's just old.

Yup they did. Awesome episode. They had the Census on there too, one of my favorite sketches.

Yep, Colonel Angus was in the house.

I can't believe they showed that awful skit with Cheri Oteri as the woman shoveling her sidewalk and yellikng at her neighbor kids. That was one horrid recurring character I had forgotten about and did not need reminded of.

I was bummed they did not show the Christopher Wallken skit where he played a talk show host (a la Springer or Geraldo.) The topic was something like "My husband makes me feel unattractive" and he asked this woman guest (who I think was played by Victoria Jackson): "So your husband thinks you're a fat, stinking piece of hog meat..." The guest kept trying to talk about her hurt feelings and he kept asking her about being a fat stinking piece of hog meat.

It was hilarious and I'd love to see it again.

I know it wouldn't really have been right for the ep, but does anyone remember Kevin Spacey playing Christopher Walken in an audition for the Han Solo part in Star Wars? It was hysterical.

I remember that: he was named "Connie Stinson." I don't remember who played the woman, but I don't think it was Victoria Jackson, because it was only about 4 years ago.

Sorry, but that episode is from just over 8 years ago. (January 13th, 1996) But you are correct that it was not Victoria Jackson

Interesting. Walken has hosted the show so many times and done so many characters that he is practically a regular. I hope they give him a DVD treatment like Steve Martin, who was also never a season regular, did on VHS.

A better talk show sketch he did was one where he was an audience member on a Springer type show and he was like a 50 year old guy throwing out hip-hopisms saying things like, "You gotta be like me baby. Old Ray lets his freak flag fly."

The census skit was awesome too.

Tim Meadows: So what your saying is that you are an ex-convict living alone in this apartment with a bobcat and that work full-time as a street performer?
Chris Walken: When you say it like that, my life sounds pretty great doesn't it?

You say tomato, I say tomato .

I loved this episode except for the fact that they left off the centaur doctor sketch. (Unless it was the very first sketch and I missed it)

Doctor: So would you get turned on by a horse wearing a human mask?

Centaur: No, would you get turned on by a monkey wearing a human mask?

Doctor: This interview is not about me.

TiVo!!!

(for TiVo owners)

I was watching this episode and was laughing during the cowbell skit. Then I needed to check to see if something was on the To Do List. So I started used the remote to get there and scroll through a few screens and then it hit me!

TiVo scrolling sound = SNL cowbell!

I kid you not. If you still have this SNL episode recorded on your TiVo, check it out. I'm talking about the sound TiVo makes when you are scrolling through items using the up/down (not page up/down).

TiVo needs more cowbell!
