It's too bad, Rob C. did not do better this time around, otherwise I would have been very tempted to vote for him.
Like I said in the other thread, I am leaning toward Rupert even though I respect Rob's game more - Rob won a car, gets to basically share a million, and gets to bang Amber. I don't think he needs another $1M on top of all that.

It's weird to think that by proposing to Amber, he may have cost himself a million bucks, since I imagine a lot of people are proceeding with the "he's won enough" philosophy.

two - just to spite the other jury members.

Rob's video pitch should have been, "If you give me the money, you'll get to see a man with blue hair cry on national television."das

I wonder if anyone will vote for Lex besides his family and friends?
It would be interesting to hear the final vote tallies although I'm sure CBS will pull an American Idol and not reveal them.

Yeah - $1M is too much. Still, I'm torn. Maybe I'll just do what I do in real elections and vote for the Libertarian candidate. Hatch seems to be the most libertarian of the bunch, so.....

If the question had been 'Who's your favorite Survivor?' I would have voted for Rupert. But since they're asking who deserved to have won this Survivor I voted for Rob. He dominated in both physical and mental challenges, built an awesome shelter that helped his team tremendously, and manipulated the decisions others made in the game (even those in another tribe). Rupert deserved to win the previous Survivor, but he didn't make good decisions this time (below sea level shelter in tide zone, slow raft) and didn't do well in immunity challenges.

I think the exact opposite. I thought Rupert played a far better game this time around. I was one of the few who didn't like his game last Survivor and came nowhere close to deserving to win IMO. I respected his game this time around despite the shelter fiasco. Sure, he didn't physically dominate challenges but he played more with his head this time and realized that strategy and alliances are essential of the game.

BDB - your reasons for voting for Rob are perfect.

People seem to be forgetting that along with AMBER & her million dollars & 2 new cars Rob also gets 2nd place money ...reported to be 250 k for All-stars
Rupert gets my vote
From Timesonline.com story...
The winner still gets $1 million, and though Probst didn't have the specific amounts, he estimated the runner-up now will receive $250,000, followed by $175,000 for third place, $115,000 for fourth-place and $85,000 for fifth place. In prior seasons, the runner-up received $100,000, so clearly the stakes are higher this year, which Probst said had a bearing on the way the players played.

I can't get the videos to open- when I try I get an internet explorer error and my pages disappear. I'm planning to vote for Rich anyway (I would be happy to see Rob win and cool with Rupert winning but I have give my vote to Rich since he's my favorite in personality and game play).
any suggestions on any other way to get the videos to play? I'd still like to see them.

I thought they all got $100,000 except for the winnner. Even last place. I've never heard of a pay-scale, or a payment of less than 100K. I can't get the video's to work either.

Anyway, I vote for Rob. Even though he's marrying into Amber's money, he deserved to win the game. No one has ever run out in front like he did, taking the game by the horns and dominating it in so many ways, and he deserves the credit.

I wish Rob C hadn't hesitated to start making alliances in this one. He tried to lay low because of his reputation, but it got him voted off anyway. I might vote for him just because I thought he deserved to win the first time he was on.

I think Richard Hatch did in his season, but probably nobody else since. The only ones I would consider close would be Colby physically and Rob C strategically.

I think Brian won from 'wire to wire' in Thailand. Of course, that season featured a very weak pool of contestants.

As I've mentioned, Hatch is my hero, but even he didn't dominate the way Rob did. He single-handedly won challenges for his Tribe in a way no one else has.
As for Brian, Thailand doesn't count.
What a group of losers: Ted, Ghandia, Robb, Erin, Jan, Jed, Helen
Those guys were terrible.

I voted for Colby, just for his part in "Curb Your Enthusiasm"
Colby: So here we are out in a region of Australia with 9 of the world's 10 mostly deadly snakes. It was harrowing! You come across a Taipan on the trail, you get bit, you're dead in 30 minutes flat.
Solly: That's a very interesting story. Let me tell you, I was in a concentration camp. You never suffered one minute in your life compared to what I went through.
Colby: I'm saying we spent 42 days trying to survive, we had no rations, very little snacks.
Solly: Snacks! What are you talking snacks. We didn't eat sometimes a week, a month...
Colby: I couldn't work out when I was over there. We certainly didn't have a gym. I wore my sneakers out and then the next thing you know I've got a pair of flip flops.
Solly: Flip flops!
Colby: We slept on the ground, on the dirt. 118 degrees in the day, 98 at night with 98 percent humidity.
Solly: 45 degrees below zero!
Colby: Did you guys have a bathroom?
Solly: A bathroom! We had 12 people at a time would go and shit...
Colby: Well I'm sure you had toilet paper...
Solly: We had newspaper.
Colby: We had mosquitoes.
Solly: Do you see this glass eye, huh? huh?
Colby: Have you ever seen the show?
Solly: Have you seen our show, it was called The Holocaust!
Colby: All I know is I was damn close to that million dollars, all the time everyone was backstabbing me, undermining me, trying to get me kicked off the show.
Solly: You don't know nothing about Survivor. I'm a Survivor!
