Question for DirecTivo users....

Ok, I've had this for about 9 days now.

I am getting a message on the bottom of the screen that says "Acquiring program guide data from satellite. Some data available now. Full data in 1-2 days".

Ok, I've had this for over a week. Shouldn't it have all the program guide data already? I've noticed on the To Do list, it only goes up to about a weeks worth of future shows. On my standalone Tivo I got at least 2 weeks worth. Is there something wrong or something I'm not doing?

Mine does it too (and has been for a long time.) However, it didn't always do that.

I think I read somewhere that it's a bug that will be fixed eventually.

Yeah, I called DirecTv about it. It's a bug that's been around a while, that supposedly is supposed to be fixed soon.

The patch is out. Make sure you're hooked to a phone line and you should get it shortly.

Its cosmetic so there is no hurry to fix it... annoying but you get used to it.

How are you liking the Dtivo?

Mine used to do that, but I finally got the update that fixed it. They were apparently rolling it out slowly.

It's great. I've had a standalone Tivo for as long as they've been out, so I'm already used to the setup. I like the dual tuner aspect of it, except for when there are 2 shows recording and I want to watch live stuff.

Yeah, I've had to manually hook the phone line up every couple of days for it.

The guy said there is a fix, and should show up "eventually".

Now the real question is, why do I only get about a weeks worth of upcoming show data on my DirecTivo as compared to over two weeks worth on my standalone Tivo?

Now, that shouldn't be. It should be two weeks.

As of right now, it only goes up to May 17th. That's definately not two weeks worth of data.

Does it tell you it only has data until May 17, or have you seen this yourself in the guide?

No, when I go to my To Do list, it only has shows up until the 17th listed. I have a ton of shows after this date that should be on there as well.
