LB: This Tuesday, Big Brother airs from 8:00 pm ET to 9:30 pm ET and then Amazing Race airs afterwards from 9:30 pm ET to 11:00 pm ET. (So Amazing Race will air at the same time in both the United States and Canada.)
Then starting on July 13, the schedule will have a repeat of Navy CIS from 8:00 pm ET to 9:00 pm ET, Big Brother from 9:00 pm ET to 10:00 pm ET and Amazing Race from 10:00 pm ET to 11:00 pm ET. (Amazing Race will air in the same time slot in Canada following The Next Action Star and repeats of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.)

10PM Eastern? Eesh. I'm an early riser, so I'll probably end up taping this and watching it the next night. And of course avoiding all discussion of it here until I do so.

LB: Yes, 10:00 pm ET. I'm stuck working the next three Tuesday nights (and the week after that-July 27, I'll be in Toronto for Yanks-Blue Jays) so its the VCR for me. I'll watch the episode when I get home from work. (July 27 one, I'll have to wait until Friday morning, as thats when I get home from Toronto.)
If anyone misses the Tuesday showing, CBS will re-air the 90 minute premiere of "AR 5" this coming Saturday evening, July 10, from 8:00 pm ET to 9:30 pm ET.
Update: Just got word from the TWoP Amazing Race forum that all summer, CBS will be re-airing the new Tuesday episodes on Saturday evenings from 8:00 pm ET to 9:00 pm ET. So its good news if you missed the episode on Tuesday for some reason. (The Saturday episode of "Big Brother 5" will now air from 9:00 pm ET to 10:00 pm ET.)

On Airports & Equalizers

As much as I like this show, I agree: they need to address the travel problem. Too many groups catch up in the airports!

I also didn't really like it when they told them which flights were available at the time. I actually liked it during the first season when they had to call and find out for themselves.

They do, however, occasionally “restrict” travel by having the teams either use a certain mode of transportation (train, subway, public bus, etc.) or take specific charter flights/busses to more out-of-the-way places (Coober Pedy in TAR2, Aberdeen in TAR3, Cortina in TAR4).

Aside from the production problems this would cause (thus driving up the production costs....reality TV such as this stays around cause its cheap), what if one team got really far ahead by the half way point. Would there even be any point in watching.

It sucks that one team gets far ahead and then has to wait for a zoo to open or something, but it would take away all the excitement if there is no race for the finish.

It's called "reality" TV, but it still has to be controlled and molded to be exciting.

Just wanted to say that this is one of the few 'reality' series that I have watched since Day 1. I wasn't going to watch it at first, because 'Lost' on NBC looked better at the time. Boy was I wrong!
