So what was the order that Rupert picked, and what were his reasons? I was watching the Leafs game and missed that part.

Da Thrilla 04-22-04 08:57 PM

I hate BOTH Shii Ann and Alicia

Rob, Jenna, Amber, Alicia, Tom, then Shii Ann.

The first four are his alliance. As for Alicia before Tom, Rupert either felt bad about what was said concerning Alicia during the reward challenge, or he just doesn't like Big Tom. Maybe both.

Patman 04-22-04 09:04 PM

Somewhere out there, Kimmie (Season 2) is laughing heartily at Alicia's ouster.

SunMonkey 04-22-04 09:29 PM

That was a cruel reward challenge.

And Rob puts yet another vote for anyone but him on the jury.

That's exactly why Rob's strategy is going to haunt him if he makes the final two.

dolphinboy 04-22-04 10:05 PM

I have been rooting for Jenna for the whole time, but I had no idea she was under the skin of everyone as much as she is. I wonder why they've edited it to look toned down until now. I know others here haven't been big fans of hers, but I thought it was mostly for being a weak player. It was Shi-Ann and Alicia that seemed like the players who annoyed everyone else constantly. And Jerri while she was there too. I thought Jenna might sneak into the final and win because she was sweet, but now it's clear they don't think of her that way, so, I don't think she can sneak much further. Too bad they didn't shake things up tonight. Shi-Ann had every right to throw her victory in their faces and I'm glad Alicia is out of the game. Is a handshake a legal contract on Survivor??

But if he gets to the final with someone likeable, but who did next to nothing, does it really matter if they like Rob? How has that gone before?

I mean, if his case to the jury is that "I played the game very well, went wire to wire in total control, won my fair share of immunity and reward challenges for me and my team," won't the jury have a hard time giving the million to someone who can't say any of that, because they like them more??

das Monkey 04-22-04 10:10 PM

If Rob were smart, he'd find a way to drag Shii-Ann with him to the final two. He could stab everyone in the back 5 times and piss in their beds, and I bet he'd still beat her 7-0. Well, maybe 6-1 since Lex is such a ****ing crybaby.

I would hope that if Rob made the final two, people would drop their grudges and show him some respect, much like they did for Hatch in the original. The guy ran out in front early and has had a target on his back since day one. He built the shelter, caught fish, single-handedly won team challenges, and (if he makes the final two) he'll have to win 4-5 individual immunities. A player who can't recognize and respect that really doesn't deserve the title of "All-Star."

After tonight, I am actually rooting for Shii Ann. Good for her, winning immunity like that. I hate how all the rest of the tribe has marched in line behind Rob.

I was pretty disgusted at how everyone seemed to tiptoe around targeting Rob in the reward challenge. It reminded me of that old Twilight Zone episode where everyone was afraid of the boy who'd send people "out to the cornfield."

Forget about the Twilight Zone character ... I'm scared of Bill Mumy.

If it were Rob and Shii Ann, it might be 4-3 in Rob's favor (Lex, Kathy and Alicia in Shii Ann's corner).

I don't see Shii Ann running through the rest of the immunity challenges like Kelly Wigglesworth did, so I think she doesn't make it to the final 4 or 5.

mookiemeister 04-22-04 10:37 PM

Wow. I was surprised Shii-Ann won an immunity. Didn't think she has the will to win one. She's still the one to go next week if she doesn't win immunity again.

El Scorcho 04-22-04 11:00 PM

The editing gave this immunity challenge winner away before they even got to it.

The conversation Rob had with Tom about there being no way Shii-ann will win the immunity pretty much foretold the events to come.

I was kind of annoyed at that.

Big Tom will win it all.

vinhj 04-22-04 11:02 PM

Did they have Jenna criticiszing Shi-Ann's behavior after she won? I don't know who else was cheering for Rupert, but Jenna was doing so vocally that she might as well have yelled out, "Shi-Ann you SUCK! DIE DIE!" and wouldn't have much of a case against Shi-Ann's goading after she won :)

outcastja 04-22-04 11:07 PM

They should just give the million to Rob already, he has everybody wrapped around his finger. If he doesn't make it to the final two I'd be surprised. I'm probably one of the few people that wants Shii-Ann to win but she will probably get the boot next week.

The difference though is that Hatch only made one alliance with Sue, Rudy and Kelly. Rob has made multiple alliances with many people that he has gone on to break. That is the difference that I think will hurt him if he makes the final two.

Except now he's already 3 for 3 for people on the jury that feel betrayed by him. He'll be lucky by the end to only get a vote from Am-buh, if she is on the jury.

BizRodian 04-23-04 01:36 AM

I didn't even watch tonight. Allstars has been really disapointing :(

Damfino 04-23-04 02:59 AM

Wow! all of a sudden Shii-Ann rocks! If she can make an alliance with Tom & Rupert the whole game would change.

Catch 21 04-23-04 05:05 AM

CBS can edit all they want. Rob and Amber are the final two it's too obvious.

Struz 04-23-04 07:34 AM

Boy Alicia is dumb. She wouldn't even listen to what Shi-Ann had to say. She deserved to get booted.

Rupert, Tom and Alicia had their chance to get rid of Rob last night and blew it. If they teamed up with Shi-Ann they could have gotten rid of Rob, then Amber then Jenna.

Now there's only 6 left. If they make an alliance with Shi-Ann that's 3 against 3 and they will have to hope they win a tie-breaker.

I'm surpised that Tom and Alicia didn't try something after Rupert's pecking order was reveiled last night.

These are All-Stars ?

Groucho 04-23-04 07:44 AM

Why are Rob and Amber the only two playing to win? Everybody else seems content with Top 4 (or in the case of Shii-Bangs, making it to the next week).

It has been said before, but these are the DUMBEST survivors yet. I thought last year with everyone trusting Fairplay was the culmination of stupidity, but now we have (had) 4 people fighting to be in the final 4, with 2 members guaranteed 1st and 2nd. Why would they not form their own final 4 where they might have a chance to win? Tom, Rupert (whom I really like, but is one of the worst stratagist in Survivor history), Jenna and Alicia could have and should have decided to kick the other two, but they are all happy to come in 3-7. Oh well, as the title of this episode rings so true, Stupid, Stupid, Stupid People.

Spoiler:
Anyone think CBS may have been foreshadwoing the winner(s) with this weeks episode title?

cdollaz 04-23-04 08:43 AM

Jenna is a slug. If she wins, I'll put a gun in MY mouth.

I loved Jenna berating Rupert to hold on during the challenge. Pretty hollow coming from someone who didn't last 5 minutes themself.
