^Well, the next episode also deals somewhat with T'Pol's addiction so it's not a storyline that has ended yet.

And regards to the transporter, I agree that it strained credibility that it was working perfectly (they should have had someone die on the return just to make it seem like it's not functioning perfectly), but I don't think it's a problem that they aren't afraid of it anymore. In the episodes it's been used, they've shown crewmembers scared of it ("Broken Bow", "The Andorian Incident") to being somewhat concerned with it ("Vanishing Point") to just coming to terms with it and just using it ("Regeneration").

True. But, wasn't it a single person in each instance? I can't remember more than one person using it at any one time. This was a whole boarding party.

AND a warp coil, which I assume is a very complicated piece of equipment.

Imagine if a widget ended up as part of Trip's wazoo! Would N'Pol have the hots for him after that?

They beamed down three guys in "The Andorian Incident" and two in "Regeneration" so there has been precedent going back to one of the first episodes.

Alright, I stand corrected. Further proof my "tiny details" memory of Trek fluctuates to match levels equal to my interest in the series it derives from. It's a little on the low side right now.

Star Trek: Enterprise finished last in its time slot last night as UPN's new I'm Still Alive faltered as well.

According to Mediaweek.com's Programming Insider, "Damage" earned a 3.1 overnight rating/5 share. This means that approximately 3.1% of American households were tuned to UPN, while Enterprise was viewed by 5% of households watching television at the time.

Zap2It reported a fast national rating of 2.2/4, which is down from the final rating of 2.6/4 earned by "Azati Prime" in the same time slot, though on par with earlier episodes such as "Hatchery".

Mediaweek Programming Insider Marc Berman put both UPN shows in the loser's column for last night as at 9 p.m., UPN's I'm Still Alive dropped to a 2.5/4 in the overnights.

Archer is a pirate and should face a court martial.

If N'Pol wasn't getting high she would have realized that Archer should have been relieved of duty and Reed should have protested louder when N'Pol didn't.

I can give the writers some credit for doing something different, but turning the crew into criminals is inexcusable. Not even a Klingon would see any honor in stealing from a weaker opponent.

Remember when Voyager came across that other Fedeation ship that was enslaving or killing aliens to make their engine go faster? Those guys were treated like the scum of the earth. A few hundred years must change a lot.

A least it's got me thinking about the show again, but not in a good way.

Well.. if Archer was going to steal the warp coil why didn't he just say he was going to borrow it and return when he's done. He didn't do that. The only thing he did was trade stuff which the victims didn't want.

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail, but in Archer's defense, or I guess the shows, at least they showed him struggling with his decision, which is very good. At least they weren't like "Okay, the ship is fixed good as new (WHICH IT DAMN WELL BETTER NOT BE NEXT WEEK) and we're going to go take this with any regard to what happens to the others.

Having said that, I was really shocked by T'Pol's viollent reaction. Very well portrayed. Course then they just seemed to brush that off... =/

Now my opinion - I think it was the wrong decision even though earth is at stake. On one hand I can understand him not wanting to leave fate to the 3 Xindi who are starting to question and scrub it all on their own, but he though he was "getting through to them"; though apparently that didn't count for anything.

And then there's Trip - was a f'in d#$%!!! "Oh, they'll be fine." Sorry, but 3 years you ass?! Did it ever occur to any of them to go back and pick them up once the mission was a success? I used to hate Hoshi the most, but now I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't hate Trip the most.

I have a feeling that all of this will be put right by using time travel.

But it's still a line that shouldn't have been crossed if only because Archer has created a new enemy that would be within their rights to strike back with a fleet of their ships.

Speaking of a fleet of ships, is Enterprise the ONLY ship that can save the world? Have the “Earthlings” no friends? After the devastation, are we to believe that there has been no global effort to build a fleet of ships (and retrofit existing ones) and put some whoopass on them Xindies? Our anger and global unity should have been so intense as to make our reaction to 9/11 look like a child’s snit fit.

It seems that on Enterprise everyone the humans fight they are outgunned and have to use other means to win.

They're building the NX02, but in the episode it was in they said it was still a ways off from being finished

The inside of the alien ship reminded me of Halo.

Still enjoying it
