The Shield 4/13/2004 "Posse Up"
When the ex-wife and child of Julien's former partner, Tommy, are murdered, Tommy becomes a suspect, prompting Julien to team up with Mackey to conduct their own investigation. Elsewhere, Shane goes undercover to catch a group attacking gay prostitutes, and Claudette and Dutch investigate a rape case against Aceveda's orders.

The rape case that Dutch is working on, eh. Not all that interesting right now. What I'm really wondering is how in the hell Vic is gonna get a hold of that Treasury watchlist! It's in a safe, in the captain's office, in a police station!
at Cap't Aceveda looking at those mugshots, looking all disgusted!
edit: at Corrine Mackey's ass shot!

This just occured to me...I know the "barn" isn't big, but why not arrest all those gay prostitutes for breaking the law instead of protecting them and allowing them to stay on the street?

"Yeah, well, you're the one who knows all those technical terms."
And Shane has something in common with one of the "Bone smokers". Hot rod enthusiasm breaks all the world's barriers down...

That was hilarious.
I agree about this episode, Patman.

What's interesting is the relationship between Vic and Julien. Remember just 2 seasons ago (not really 2 years of "show" time) when Julien despised Vic, and now Julien would rather buddy-up with Vic to hunt down the guy who killed a cop's wife and child, then play by the book. And now we have Danni, who was willing to look the other way in season 1, is now looking out for numero uno since she was pinned for letting the guy inside the holding cell with a knife to kill waffle-iron-face.

Ascevada is confusing me, he is not going home to his wife, and is acting very conflicted. Is he looking through mug shots to arrest the guys, or get a phone number?
I like the way the girl from the decoy squad is so anti-pc, nice to see for a change.

I think Aceveda wants to know who his...uh... offenders are, but there isn't much he can do about it. If he arrests them, then his political aspirations are over. I suppose he could pull a Vic and go vigilante on them in order to get revenge, but something tells me that's not going to happen.

I was kind of thinking along those lines - maybe he thinks he get that phone back. Of course, I guessed last week that the photo will quickly spread all over East L.A.

Good episode it appears that Aceveda is still struggling with his 'ahem' violation and it was interesting to see his wife tell him he as not come home yet I believe he might be in dire need of rape counseling if this keeps up the stress from his job as well as the fact that he was violated might be too much for him and that photo has yet to surface. I'm glad Julien stood up for Tommy it's about time he got out from Danni's shadow and as or Danni I don't blame her for turning on Vic since it was payback for last season where she got left holding the bag so to speak I'm sure Vic will be careful around her. It appears that the money train heist is getting more complicated and it will be very interesting on how Vic and the gang get ahold of that Treasury watch list. Shane playing a gay prostitute hilarious and the other prostitutes giving him a hard time was really funny I'm glad that I'm not they only one who thought that the female decoy squad member was a hottie does anyone know her real name?

She was one the Showtime show Soul Food. I always thought that she's not "pretty" but she damn sure is sexy she has an aura about her.
Is it just me or does there seem to be some sexual tension between her and Vic?

^ There's definitely some attraction between her and Vic.
Vic has been trying to lure Julien over a little closer to the Dark Side for a while now. Like Patman wrote, it's cool how he and Danni have gradually shifted roles.
This is a well written show, on the micro and macro levels alike.
