Another great episode... Went a little far for the Gilligan joke at the end, but pretty good nonetheless

It was ok. This ep was too much like a straight sitcom for me and not as 'unique' as the past eps. Most of the setups were telegraphed way ahead and they went through without the twists or asides that happened in past eps. Still funny though, just not one of the best. Anyong was the best part of the ep for me. The grandmother was right, that 'Anyong...Anyong' joke never gets old.

Michael and George Michael going to sleep in the afternoon fully clothed was hilarious.
"What we have here is lasting fun."

"What the hell happened to the blood?"
"HAHAHAHA! I LOVE JUICE!"

"You're out of the band!"

"And then Gilligan arrived at the party and the con was on."
"The name is Ira!"

"I was going to support him... with all these... hot men."

I thought it was an okay episode, not a great one, though still entertaining in delving into the psyche of the characters, mainly the hermanos (Michael, Gob, and Buster).

I love how this show references the past in little ways for jokes (hermanos), it rewards you for paying attention. Most other shows don't give you as much credit.

My only complaint was that the folk group singing about side effects reminded me of Catherine O'Hara singing about penis clamps and catheters in A Mighty Wind. It didn't help that "Ira Gilligan" is part of Christopher Guest's stock company and was in that film.

(Paraphrased)

Tobias: Our marriage has hit a rocky patch.
Michael: Oh, really? When did that happen?
Tobias: Well, I don't want to blame it on 9-11...

Lucille to GOB's wife "I've always wanted a daughter. " (Cut to Lindsay scowling). "And you're blond!"

I agree that it didn't have its uniqueness this episode, but it was still pretty good.

I agree.

I liked the flash back scene with Dad & Michael talking and dad says some thing about Gilligan and then "I-R-As"
Gilligan says, "It's IRA!"
Dad: "Alright Gilligan,... IRAs"

My damn ReplayTV decided it should only record half of Arrested Development, then the rest was the E! channel. What a rip off.

Dr. Funke's 100% Natural Remedy Good Time Band (or whatever it was)...funny how they kept repeating the FULL name!

Also, Dr. "Funky" lol.

I thought this episode was better than the previous two episodes. But they're all good.

I think it ended with "Solution." Tobias called it just "the Solution" or something like that was. Hilarious.

I laughed really hard at the "I don't want to blame 9-11..." line too.

I really thought all of the Mighty Wind references were great. It took me a second to realize that Gilligan was in the film, too.
