All New: Fox's false advertising
Fox advertises every Sunday as all new. For example, this Sunday is an "All new hour of the Simpsons". However, BOTH episodes are reruns.

Hey, if you haven't seen it, it's new to you!
Talk about false advertizing, NBC has been so misleading with The Apprentice all season that I look forward to seeing what they lied about more than the episode itself. Dont forget, though, tonight's er is the most important television event in the history of mankind. You can't miss this episode.
On the WB's All New New Tuesday ...

Can you give me some examples? I tend to avoid the previews. Just curious.

Now, after Troy revealed that the board room scene lasts 2 hours, it is possible that he said that and it was edited out, but highly dubious. It didn't fit the general flow.

Two weeks ago, I think it was "someone gets fired after a HUGE mistake!" I think that was the Casino episode, and the "mistake" was losing the challenge. Then there was the one about someone "crossing Carolyn" or whatever, which was really just Carolyn not thinking Heidi had shown her much. And for about 4 weeks, they used something to the effect of, "the boardroom gets out of hand" or something implying that something unique happens, but it's just like every other episode. Still a great shows, but those previews are hilarious in their obvious manipulation.

Hmm...my TiVo says that BOTH of tonight's "Simpsons" episodes are repeats, but my TV Guide says that it's new.
(well, neither actually SAY anything, I had to look at them)

On Apprentice, I always like watching the cab # of the one that pulls to the curb and compare it to the one that pulls away. It was fun to do on that rehash episode a couple weeks back.
On Survivor, it's turned to a repetitive "the person they pimp as leaving certainly won't be the one leaving", and we always like predicting who we'll get to see the card of when they vote and who we won't, you know, to set up the "tension".
Oh, this thread was about Fox? Errrr.... I just hate their schmaltzy 5 minute "Prepare for the return of..." commercials they will have when a show has been gone for a while, wherein they will have about 6 spoilers for the next few weeks. The one I saw was the O.C., so it isn't that big a deal... "There will be a love triangle...", but I'm sure true 24 fans hate those commercials.

There was an episode of Arrested Development back in December where George Sr. was let out of prison for a day so that he could participate in the living art thing...he was dressed as God. During the episode, he tries to escape while dressed as God. The FOX promo says he is dressed as Santa Claus. Not so much false advertising as FOX just treating us all like we are f**king stupid.
Also, FOX advertised that there would be an all new episode of Wonderfalls this week. I think we all know that wont happen.
Simpsons reruns are annoying...I have no clue why they promote reruns of a show that has a huge audience already like there is nothing else on their network.
Oh, and slightly off topic, but in regards to "LOL Sunday", why was the Malcolm rerun tonight in 4:3? That episode didnt look THAT old.

Anyone else remember when Conan O'Brien would invite Polly the NBC Peacock on his show to tell the viewers what NBC had on tap for sweeps?
http://members.tripod.com/~kmsmiley/polly.html
Polly: Invasion! Invasion! Invasion! Sunday night on NBC!
Conan: Ok, this is, all right, Invasion is NBC's new miniseries, everybody's talking about it, right?
Polly:It stars Luke Perry and it's about aliens invading Earth. It's the best alien movie ever made!
Conan: C'mon, no, the best? Maybe it's ok, but it's another made-for-tv movie. It can't be the best.
Polly: But for this one, NBC's worked out a deal with God.
Conan: What do you mean, they worked out a deal with God, what are you talking about?
Polly: God says, for every minute of Invasion people watch, they earn 10 extra years of life!
Conan: Ok, Polly... that's, that's pathetic and sad, you know...
Polly: It's true!

"!!!!! SIMPSONS MARATHON !!!!!"
Someone explain to me: If Fox ussually airs 2 episodes of The Simpsons on Sunday night... how is 3 episodes a marathon? There are affiliates that air more than 3 episodes every day.
9 Hours of DS9, now thats a marathon.
