I was hoping Christopher would get whacked as well AND I was really hoping Tony didn't bang Adriana. Weird, huh? The Christopher scene was INTENSE.
Um, Tony wasn't separated and going through a midlife crisis before either...
We've NEVER seen Tony do drugs. He often bitched out Chris for doing drugs, he told them to sell it but not do it.

The best thing about this season is Steve Buscemi. He's one of the best characters (if not the best) in the entire series. He's going straight, and sticking to going straight no matter how much he's ragged on and tempted. I hope he keeps it like that. I also like that even though he's not in the 'business' he's still around it and is trying to make a difference when he can. He had to know that Tony was going to kill Chris and went along to stop it.

Riveting episode... I believe that the entire thrust of the current season is simply the slow disintigration of all relationships, and that the final season will show the carnage casued by those broken relationships.

See I can't understand why everyone is saying this is the greatest episode ever. It was a good episode, but nothing close to the previous 2. We had the great NY/NJ power struggle battle going on and then this week they pretty much just dropped it for the Ade/Christopher story.
They really needed to try and have the Ade/Power Struggle thing together because just leaving story lines out for a week, especially these major ones is bad.

I like to read rumors. I'm much more surprised when things actually happen on the show because the rumors are so far out in left field.

This episode was great... Brought me back to the days of Season 2. Tony's new found coke habit did catch me off gaurd, but the mid-life crisis excuse makes sense. Some of the highlights for me...
The Christopher scene was top-notch. Exremely intense! For the first time in while I couldn't tell if a character was going to die or not.
"Here's your alowence." Great line, it's true and also has that harsh sarcasim that makes me laugh.
"She's got diarrhea..." Christopher's bluntness about things always has me rolling.
"Jesus Christ, she's a good looking woman and she wants to f//k Barney Rubble?"
I'm surprised nobody mentioned this one yet...
"She drowned on a picnic." Good cover... HA!
I was sure Adriana was gonna be dead from the accident.
The Phone Tag scene was funny as hell.
"You'd f//k a catcher's mit..."
He comes back for the pizza. Awsome...
Silvo with the megaphone
"Any gunshot wounds or broken kneecaps." This episode is full of them...
All in all, one of the best the series has put out.

Again, who was the blonde on the phone talking about gambling in the preview? She looked familiar but I don't recall seeing her this season.

Besides, I'm not quite sure how SPECULATION of what might happen on an upcoming episode could possibly be considered a spoiler to begin with.

The accident was the most tense scene to me just because it would've been a lame way for Adriana to go out. I'm glad their previews are misleading because way too many people were talking about that one (specifically Christopher firing a gun) last week. I agree, spoiler your discussions about previews, even if they are way off base.
I loved the jackass doctor
I just wish he pissed them off some more so he could've gotten whacked. The mouth on that guy

PROMO SPOILERS:
If you're going to discuss official information about an upcoming episode (ie. stuff shown in the "next week on..." segment, or print/broadcast advertisement/teasers) please make sure that you either use spoiler tags or start a thread with some kind of warning in the thread title
Or, as BizRodian suggested elsewhere, you could start a thread about "next weeks show (spoilers)" and discuss the teaser in there. But the threads discussing the current show need to spoiler the teaser information.
It's fine to discuss this stuff, but let's give everyone the choice to decide whether they want to see it or not.

I wonder if Adriana's comment about Danielle being "dead" are going to come back to haunt her, like with Tony seeing her not dead, for example. Will the Adriana storyline go through this whole season? Either way, it was a dang fine episode in a dang fine season...

This episode is being compared a lot to "Pine Barrens" in terms of quality. What is interesting to note is that Steve Buscemi played an important role in both eps; behind the camera in one, and in front in the other.
I hope Blundetto survives, as he seems to be the only thing close to a "good" person among the bunch.

And that may change if next week's preview is any indication...although granted, the previews tend to be designed to be intentionally misleading.

By the way I don't think anyone thinks speculation should be spoiler tagged. It's speculation from "rumors" about contracts and other information that could come from people involved with the show that should be spoilered.

To everyone saying that we've never seen or heard of Tony do drugs...
In the episode last season where Ralph gets killed and Tony and Christopher are getting rid of the body, i'm almost positive Tony says something to the effect of "I'm not saying I'm a saint, i've done drugs, even did coke with you"

Geeze, Tony did one line of coke. That hardly constitutes a "coke habit".
That's like watching a character who was never shown drinking alcohol having a beer, and proclaiming "Since when is Edwin an alcoholic?!!"

After some reflection, I see the situation with Christopher and Adrianna turning into an Othello type situation of sorts.
Christopher already has doubts about Adrianna, and Paulie seems to have it out for Christopher to an extent. I think Paulie might wind up playing an Iago type role down the line resulting in a scenario similar to the one in the Shakespearean play.
Yet another possible scenario: Tony decides to continue to try and be a father type figure to Adrianna since his own kids are all but ignoring him. During this time Christopher finds out the truth regarding her and the feds, which leads to his murder of her. Tony will happen upon the scene soon after her death and Christopher will try to explain to Tony that he did it to protect the family. Thinking that Christopher was just blinded with rage and out for vengeance, Tony whacks him w/o fully hearing him out.
