It has not been on for a while, and I remember that in the past during sweeps they take it off for a while and replace it with something terrible. So what is the deal? Is it going to return?

gone. cancelled. finito. fox may show the remaining 2 ( I think there was only 2) episodes this summer.

Jerri Ryan already has a new pilot she's working on.

All the kids got sent to different schools. The teachers got laid off..........Oh yeah... the show got canceled.

When shows get cancelled like Boston Public did...will Fox re-air any of this season's Boston Public episodes again? Possibly during Summer?

There were no more students for the teachers to sleep with, and all the teacher had slept with each other. Faced with the thought of having to sleep with Fivesh Finkel to keep the show fresh....everyone transfered.

So I guess the only question now is when Boston Public: The Complete Series gets released on DVD???

I tried to watch the show all the time up until this season when they put it on Friday (TV death in my book). I thought the time slot on Monday was great, especially back when they still had Ally McBeal on right afterwards. It was a good show and if the price is right and there are some good supplements, I'd totally think about picking up Boston Public on DVD.

They haven't offically announced the cancellation though, or have they? I thought they said something like the season was shortened and then yanked it for sweeps and to air Wonderfalls and then they have never said anything more. I hate that.

NBC has also been doing the same thing with "Miss Match". Either say you're canceling it or not, but don't leave us hanging.

while they have not "officially" stated it was cancelled, it's not a good sign when several of the actors involved in the show have already moved on to other projects.

No way - not on FOX. It is G-O-N-E. I mean Wonderfalls got canned after 4 episodes (13 were already shot and the remaining will never be aired on FOX). Why FOX thinks it is better to pay for something and NOT air it is beyond me... sigh.

Also, the fact that all the sets have been torn down and the casting director was fired...pretty good sign that the show 'might' not be coming back!

Just a 'neat' observation, if you go to the Fox website you can still click on the Boston Public listing and be taken to their home page. But while the Wonderfalls title is still there, when clicked you return to the Fox homepage.

I heard that the teachers sucked at teaching and most of the kids failed on their SAT's.

In other news, the principal's daughter is now a contestant on American Idol. (Jennifer Hudson).

One further reason for me never to watch AI. Brooke Harper - worst character ever!!!!

They only filmed 2 more episodes than have yet to be aired. My guess is that these will be burned off during the summer.
