Boy, Adam just cost himself all the brownie points he had built up with the women of America. I imagine he just lost about 99% of his hoard of adoring fans. Hope you enjoy Samantha, 'cuz you're stuck with her.

The dude has $$$. I'm sure he will have no problems getting any chick if it doesn't work out with samantha. She would have been my pick. sure she's more style over substance. But let the man live. He deserved it.

Even with the manipulative editing - Samantha is a golddigger, pure and simple. It is SO obvious she just wants what he can buy her, give her, lavish on her, and she will take it all. I say go for it - the guy obviously has no taste, and deserves to lose all of his money to a girl like that. Melana was fake, this girl is fake, hell, even Rachel made herself what he said was his perfect girl - can we say stalker?

The other stalker-esque girls were at least up front about it, but Rachel just quietly made herself "the perfect girl" - going back to school to get the same major as his mom's old profession, using his catchphrase (which I believe she gave away at the beginning as one of the many facts she learned about him on the internet), serving him food, how she was with his parents...while I liked her more than Samantha (by far) she had turned herself into the woman she thought he wanted. I have little doubt she genuinely wanted to be with him (and not just his bank account) but she's one of those girls who have no identity of their own. She created one for him.

But back to his choice - again, I know it is manipulative editing, but please - she said and did these things at some point within two weeks after meeting him:

"I wasn't appreciated in my last relationship" (read, he didn't buy me everything I wanted and spend every last dime on me)

"tell me something nice" - at least, what was it, three times this episode? (read, fishing for compliments - once in a while with a boyfriend who doesn't get the fact that he should give the occasional compliment is one thing, but several times within two weeks of meeting someone??? it's all about her)

Add in the ridiculously stupid dog clothes (that should be a deal breaker for anyone, imo, and I love my cats so would expect at least another person who liked cats), the idiotic simpering whiney looks (daddy, if you don't buy me that I won't love you anymore, and if you REALLY loved me, you'd get it for me! WAAHHHH!) and the fact that she's shallow as Jason ever was and ugly to boot - and you get the idiotic choice he made. I could give a crap if he's scared or not - he could have chosen many of the other girls who were more "fun" and less "relationship-oriented" but who weren't nearly as annoying.

And I lost all respect for him when it was completely obvious that he is after what everyone is after - someone he thinks is "hot" - not a relationship at all. What a hypocrite. I think most women who were fans after the first average joe aren't now - he deserves to lose all that cash (and a lot of his "charm" that the women were admiring ). The paris hilton of NY - good stuff. Personally any guy who found that type of girl remotely attractive would drop so far in my estimation that I wouldn't give him the time of day, so I hope Rachel realized the same and moves on. She can do much better for herself - I hope they give her a show next year. I also hope she realizes that making yourself into someone else for a guy is the worst thing you can do for yourself or for the relationship.

So she can make the shallow choice as well. People are as good as their options. You take this guy, Average joe and I would be surprised to really find out he doesn't do well with chicks. He has the cash, he isn't all that bad looking (try closing your lips some time pal). Sure he's a dork, but some chicks actually dig that. If he truely hasn't had those type of wild flings then it is clear to see that anyone will pick the style over substance. Why?

IT'S A REALITY SHOW. it's worse than meeting a potential relationship online. atleast those you get to know the person some even if they give you a fake personality. it's still something that you find out of the person over a time span. This was what? over a two week time span? Sure we could have let it sink in while it was spread out over weeks, but for this guy, he was bombarded with chicks in the time span that he had to narrow down. It's not about who has the better qualities. It's about who doesn't have the bad qualities off the bat since you can point out flaws quicker than you can point out potential.

All these chicks were in some way or another money diggers. Will the guy lose his cash? if he's dumb about it yes. Lets hope that it's not the case or for that matter he gets what he pays for. Looking for every lasting love on a reality show is silly and I think folks need to realize that. The people on the other end of the table choosing have realized that and that's why you see all these folks picking the quick fix. The something for the moment regardless of what the quick sound byte tells you differently.

Rachel looked really good in her black evening dress and I liked the slow close up of her cleavage

She seemed like the obvious choice since she wasn't interested in his money she had her own career as ateacher and is now going for her MBA. She's obviously got brains too!

I don't usually like the idea of parents getting involved in their children's personal lives but in this case they were right Rachel would have been the right choice for him long term..

She's the type of girl you would want to settle down with and have kids but he obviously was NOT ready for that even though he claimed to be..

He chose Samantha cause she's more flashy and stylish. And as for that dog going on dates with them give me a break. I like animals as much as the next person but pets should be kept home! When she was compared to the "Paris Hilton of Manhattan" that was right on. I think this lady is very shallow and cleary saw a guy who could spend his hard earned money on her while she spends her days shopping away

Adam I thaught you were smarter than that but you're the male version of Larissa. A 2 bit phony. I give the relationship with Sam 6 months maximum.

PS. Hang in their Rachel you proved to be a classy young lady and no doubt will find a suitable mate soon

I also think Rachel wasn't as genuine as she was portrayed to be, especially when it seems like she was trying to become Adam's version of a Stepford wife in getting across all those attributes that Adam admitted to wanting in a woman, while not really showing what she's really all about. It was a case of "Too good to be true" vs. "Damn, she gets my motor running!", and the motor won. I also will be glad when Samantha wolfs down a large portion of Adam's earnings on stupid materialistic crap. Who the hell would get involved with a professional buyer-wannabe? Yikes!

I like dogs, but you do not bring dogs on a date, unless it is to the park and is previously agreed upon. That's just dumb.

So, any thoughts about Adam beating the hell out of David Daskill? Some of those stunts looked pretty rough. Also, what was up with Adam slugging some of the women in at wild wild west acting segment?

The whole segments on shopping for Samantha's dog has to be near the top of the list as one of the most inane things aired on a reality dating show.

I knew Adam would make the pathetic choice.

I figure he went with what the little head thought since he's not used to getting women until he went on TV. So he probably does not want to marry yet, he wants to play some more.

^^^ That is very clear. the dude isn't ready to get married, this chick wont last, but he will be getting plenty. While the other choice would have been more of a choice to settle down with.

Samantha was so ugly without makeup. They kept showing interviews of her without makeup and I was so scared. With make up she was pretty good looking tho. I would have still picked the other girl unless samantha told me she would suck me off and toss my salad on the plane ride home.
