Tonight Show 3/29 (now with Stuttering John)
Only no longer "Stuttering", just plain old John Melendez. They did a bit right before the show with John in a bathrobe practicing his announcing skills in front of a mirror, and the camera pulls back to see Leno and Kevin Eubanks in the tub together. WTF?
I only watched for the Headlines segment, so I don't know if he was in any other sidesplitting skits.
We should have a pool to predict the first Stern bit John will do on Leno.

Yes, they were bathing together. A bar of soap was even involved, for those wondering. The opening really sounded kind of different without Edd Hall, but I'm sure in about a month I'll be used to his voice.

Mike Walker already talked about it last Friday on Stern. John is out interviewing celebrities.

Another bit was to have John go out and ask really easy questions of homeless people or strippers and then they would play back the recordings on the air and bet whether the person knew the answers and laugh at their responses. Stern says Leno ripped off this bit to make "Jay walkin".

What questions were being asked is besides the point. The fact that the bit is old and has been done by countless others in the past before stern means that stern took it from others and bumped it up a level. still doesn't mean it's not a knock off bit.

The problem I have with Stern is that everything he does he claims he did first. Really a lot of his bits are regular stuff with just a more racy addition. Such as Black Jeopardy, or Lesbian Dial-A-Date. I don't consider those very original.
