Andromeda moving to SciFi. Is this a good thing?
They showed the original pilot episodes, and I’m thinking maybe I can get caught up. Seems I missed the part where a major character departs. But, so far it looks like they’re only showing new episodes.
On the one hand, bringing the program out from the relative obscurity of weekend TV might help its exposure. On the flip side, if SciFi has any input into the content…
Whaddya think?

When I first saw the ads for it, I thought Sci-Fi was just bringing it over like they did with Stargate and would be the exclusive home for it. Guess that wasn't the case. From what I can tell, they're about a week behind WGN on episodes (and according to TiVo, their first ep is a repeat anyway).
I stopped watching a while back, but got curious when I saw Sci-Fi was adding it. It hasn't gotten any better.

That show is still on? I think it started out being played at like 11PM on Saturday by my local station, which isn't a good sign. I haven't even seen it on TV since the first season. I thought it was canceled.

On the other side of the coin, I was surprised to learn it's only run for 4 seasons. Seems like it's been around a lot longer than that.

I stopped watching a year ago or so, also. However if it will cut back on some of the Starcrap episodes it will be a good thing. Maybe it's just me, but I think (since you asked) the Sci Fi channel has drastically gone down in its lineup. Every time I switch to it it's Starcrap, lets see something else for a change.

I haven't watched this show in a long time ever since they fired Robert H. Wolfe in the middle of the second season I heard the show went down hill fast and for those who are interested Jump The Shark has a page on Andromeda it's a very interesting read here
