South Park 3/24
South Park has another new episode airing Wednesday, March 24th at 10PM EST. This week's episode is entitled "Up the Down Steroid", and covers such hot topics as steroid use in the Special Olympics, Cartman competing in the Special Olympics, and even more fun involving the Special Olympics.
Sounds like another classic. :) |
yes I can't wait! the episode last week was great.
|
Wow, now South Park is taking on the Special Olympics. What isn't taboo for these guys?? Glad to finally be seeing some new episodes, can't wait for this next one.
|
thats what makes the show so great, they don't discriminate on who to piss off.

From SouthParkStudios:
803: Up The Down Steroid Jimmy is in training for an upcoming sporting event and he's determined to win at any cost. Cartman feels he can easily take first place against Jimmy. He just has to convince the qualifying committee he's handicapped |
i'm looking forward to tonights episode...
|
I almost forgot.
|
Am I the only one who doesn't care for the Jimmy/Timmy characters?
Not that I find them offensive or anything - I just don't find them too funny, becuase they're too... I dunno - easy? |

rotfl @ Cartman watching Kid Rock to emulate a handicapped person
|
Did Jimmy just say what I thought he said?
|
Timmy trying to communicate with the counselor. rotfl  rotfl
|
rotfl I can't believe that just happened! Seeing Jimmy go crazy and beat up his girlfriend. So evil yet so hilarious.
|
The Limit. I love that damn song. Ever since Grand Theft Auto.
|
rotfl @ mocking the baseball players. This is too much.
|
Genius rotfl
|
what kind of special ability do you have eric?
how should i know, i'm ****ing retarded. "if you take steroids, you're just a big fat *****" |
:up::up::up::up::up:
Awesome episode! Keep it up Matt & Trey! I gotta say, this show just keeps getting better and better. Here's hoping it goes on as long as the Simpsons... and continues to be hysterical. Next week's episode looks great too. If you didn't see the commercial... Spoiler:
|
The look on Cartman's face when he was pretending to be handicapped had me on the floor in tears. Duuuurrrrrrr!!
|
Anyone who liked this episode: Keep on the lookout for an upcoming movie called "The Ringer" by the Farrelly Brothers. Similar premise; a guy (Johnny Knoxville) pretends to be handicapped, so as to compete in the Special Olympics.
From IMDB: This comedy is about two guys who decide to rig the Special Olympics to pay off a debt by having one of them, Steve (Knoxville), pose as a contestant in the games, hoping to dethrone reigning champion, Jimmy. Mentally-challenged high jinks and hilarity surely follow. |
Originally posted by Mopower The Limit. I love that damn song. Ever since Grand Theft Auto. All I have in this world... Absolute genious episode. Cartman losing every event was the perfect payoff for what he was doing. How hilarious was Jimmy's father? "Were you masturbating? Because it's allright if you were..." rotfl |
I'm not a big fan of Jimmy or Timmy either, but I thought Jimmy beating up his girlfriend and mom was pretty funny. Does that mean there's something wrong with me? :)
|
lol I usually always watch the episodes with my parents, they don't get the show at all and thats half the fun in watching them.
A+ for tonight's show!! South Park Rocks!! my favorite part tonight was Spoiler:
|
What a great episode, watching Cartman make those faces was just too much! And having Timmy try and explain himself to Mr. Mackey(sp?) was hilarious!
|
Great episode
Cartman was hilarious this episode. The part with him and his mom at the sign-in table killed me as did him still talking to Kyle about the Pasion Of The Christ. Jimmy beating the crap out of his girlfriend was so wrong, yet so funnyrotfl |
Yeah that Passion of the Christ fixation has to become a permanent Cartman character trait. There is just too much potential to rip on Kyle with it.
|
"Don't you think you're better than me Timmy! I'm just living in the real world!"
|
They're on a roll so far. This was a great episode. The best part was how no one could understand Timmy except for Jimmy :) And of course... "Duuurrrrrr!"
|
oh man, cartman acting retarded....
i had this"talk" with my mom right now, where all this shit that built up between us came to a head. i was watching south park between yelling at her and i couldn't keep a straight face. too damn funny. also loved chappel show tonight |
Now that I think about it, since when are Timmy & Jimmy friends?
|
I agree with Abranut's sentiments. Though it may seem like bad taste to emphasize Jimmy and Timmy as being obviously handicapped, they aren't treated differently by the supporting cast of characters nor is their disability made fun of. (Well, it is, but everyone has been fair game in South Park.)
Also notice that in no other current show, cartoon or otherwise, are disabled people featured so prominently and allowed to be part of a cast of characters. |
rotfl great episode, but I thought p**sy was a word that had to be bleeped
|
Wow. I'm susprised everyone liked this. Granted South Park is often obvious, but this one was over-the-top on the preachy factor, and worse ... it just wasn't that funny. I liked when Jimmy beat up his girlfriend and mom, but the "Timmy tries to communicated with limited vocabulary" joke was beaten to death, and Cartman's retarded kid just said "DURRR." Overall, I guess I expected more. I did love the training montage, though.
das |
There were some laughs, but the whole episode was predictable from beginning to end...I could see immediately where Cartman and Jimmy's storylines were going, and when they brought out the three baseball players, I knew we'd have some speech featuring close-ups (like they did in the Butters episode).
Cartman's newfound love of Mel Gibson is a great running gag. |
I agree with das and Groucho: a few laughs but pretty predictable. Far too many of the jokes were run into the ground.
The Cartman montage and faces  |
Originally posted by Mopower The Limit. I love that damn song. Ever since Grand Theft Auto.  and Scarface. Very funny episode. Cartman, Kyle, religion, and The Passion will never get old. |
I too agree w/ Das & Groucho - like I said, I don't find Timmy/Jimmy to be too funny. The Cartman stuff was fun, though.
The way they accused Mguire/Giambi/Bonds of doing steriod was the same exact joke from a couple years ago where they pointed the finger at people who were responsible for some deaths (Condit) but never came forward. |
