Plus, it doesn't help that the NCAA Tourney will be shown this past Friday and next Friday night as well.

Fox didn't promote this show very well.

I only heard about it a few days before its first showing.

How the hell can you call Jaye an unlikable character? I really disagree.

Not as visually frenetic as the pilot, but equally entertaining. Consider me hooked.

The "stool" line killed.

I love Jaye's attitude....

Did anyone else realize that this show is written by Tim Minear (I think he is an executive producer too)?

This show is actually pretty good - even if it is a lot like Tru Calling with more humor and less intense stakes. It would be great on Monday nights in the old Boston Public slot instead of in the final resting place for the same show. Ah well - they seem to have about 12 episodes in the can so I'll enjoy it while its around.

This is one of the most random shows I've even had the pleasure of watching. It's just so...random. It's also very dry. These are the reasons why I'm enjoying it so much. It takes balls, in this tv climate, to put on a show thats different. The humor of the show is very sharp and pretty naughty, and the actress playing Jayne does a great job playing up the quarter life crisis bit. I agree with those that said Jayne isn't really likeable (like say Joan, of Arcadia fame) since she is very much the bitchy without making up for it in the last 5 minutes of the episode. Again, this is why I like the character. Her character is a bit too Kevin Smithy too feel real, but she's a nice counter to the sugar sweet of most wb type characters.

I'm sad that it isn't doing better in the ratings and I certainly will not be getting to attached to it. This is fox after all. I'm still made about them canning Space Above and Beyond.

Dropped in to say the same thing. Watched this episode last night and noticed that, as well as the direction from Marita Grabiak, two established talents.

I also agree with a previous poster: it's very difficult for me to separate this show from Dead Like Me, and Jaye from George. Bryan Fuller seems to have taken too much from one show to the other.

I enjoyed this episode, and there was some really clever writing, but I think Fox overhyped this thing, by claiming it was the greatest, most original show ever. It's pretty cool, and I plan to keep watching, but the premise isn't overly original.

(sorry if some of this is retread ... just reading the first thread now)

This week was about as bad as it gets. Wonderfalls got a 2.6... Here's the kicker though: Fox tied for fourth with the WB in overall ratings.

This show could be the catalyst for the second coming, but Fox isn't going to put up with that.

Tru Calling hasn't, to my knowledge, ever risked tying the WB's Thursday nights. Fox will fill Friday's with weekly two hour concerts by William Hung if they have to, but I just don't see them putting up tying with the WB for more than one or two more episodes...
Tru Calling's second episode got a 2.8/4, and that week lost to the 3.6/5-rated UPN show "WWE Smackdown!". But it did beat the WB.
