NYPD Blue 3/16

The new detective is really getting on nerves already, smacking a manacled prisoner.

"Douchebag. Douchebag. Douchebag."

I missed the opening. Is this guy cast or just a guest?

My guess is he's a guest who will join the cast if reaction to him is favorable.

I know I recognize the actor from an episode of Homicide a while back, but I'm spacing on which one.

I think he could be OK, but based on the previews for next week,
Spoiler:
I'm not sure if he'll be around with the way Andy was yelling at him for having Andy's prisoner in the cell beaten and nekkid. Funny--Now Andy's the one taking the more moral high ground. My how times change...

Wasn't the new detective the guy who played brain damaged Cyrill from OZ?

All through this episode, I kept staring at the way the geometric pattern on Rita's sweater made her boobs 'stand out'.

Yes, it was him. Here's a link to the details and a review, but beware, it also has spoilers on who's leaving, if you don't already know...

The pre-show credits said that he is guest starring.

I liked him a lot on another ABC cop show, 10-8, where he played the great Jablonski.

The best part of this episode was definitely Andy at the end playing the tape repeatedly for the parrot.

And Gibson is nerving me already - hope this doesn't last too long.

The douchebag thing at the end was hilarious.

I wonder which former actor from Oz will be guesting next week. We had Cyrill this week and Miguel last week.
