The D.A.?
Is "The D.A." with Steven Webber intended as a possible new series pickup for next season? A very odd time to start a 4-week run this Friday. I like Webber and it looks interesting, but I don't understand this limited run at this time. It's not an earlier "reject" being burnt off, is it?

Just read in the paper that this is a "trial run" of sorts and will be picked up for the fall if it pulls good ratings. From the zero lack of interest on this board, I'd say it's not coming back after the 4 eps.
I missed the premiere episode, but the 2nd one this past week was quite good! Webber's self-centered "anti-hero" is refreshing.

I wonder what kind of ratings they are expecting in the Friday 10 pm slot.
I watched the first 2 episodes - kind of. I was playing online poker at the same time.
Nothing special.

The second episode was better than the premiere. I like the infighting and backbiting. That seems more realistic than we normally see on network TV.
Since it's designed as a 4 episode series, I think even ABC can't pull it prematurely.
That was the original design for Line of Fire wasn't it? Limited run, looking for good ratings? Tom Shales referred to it in passing the other day as "canceled", but I hadn't seen any specific notation of that.
