Good one tonight. I especially liked the paradoxical opening.

Also my favorites were the movie names and movie signs-

Hard to miss:

You're in the Matrix Charlie Brown

and

A Matrix Christmas.

Liked the movie posters and Homer in front of congress.

krusty showed up in congress....there is some continuity

Took a while to get that one. My brother asked, "Why is Krusty there?", and I had to think for a minute before I got it. ;)

Has Dan Castanella written a lot of episodes?

Best Opening Ever

According to IMDB he's written 2 other episodes.

An OK episode. According to Tivo and what Marge said (uncle Artie), Artie was related to Homer. I don't remember that? Is he really?

"Uncle Artie" was just a nickname, not his relationship to the kids.

"What would Jesus view?" :lol:

Castellneta also wrote the one where Barney goes sober, so I was anticipating this one would develop a character her voiced.

That's what I thought, but my Tivo lists Artie as being one of Homer's relatives. Must just be a mistake.

The opening was definitely one of the best ones ever done, and I liked how Patty and Selma were there since they havent been seen that often recently

I loved the opening (with the whole Contact thing) and the part at the movie theater. I was cracking up hard when they showed the novel "What would Jesus Watch: By Michael Medved."

Plus, how can't you love the scene at the bar with all of the characters Jon Lovitz has played over the years. Overall, very funny episode.

"Dudes, I think this guy is coming on to me"

I saw "Eating Nemo" at the theater :lol:

So he's the ******* that ruined Barney! ;)

Decent enough episode. I liked the idea more than the execution. I do hope the show continues to utilize its continuity in storytelling - it's quite an asset at this point, IMO.

Loved all the movie titles as well.

One huge problem with that joke: Medved is Jewish.

You could tell that that one was added recently. All 3 sides of the marquee matched up, except for this one title.

Perhaps that was part of the joke.

OH MY GOODNESS. Everything was going great and it looked like it was going to be a great ep. But then, right when artie ziff showed up my tape stopped. Could someone tell me what happened?
