as Brett said, the fact that MEDVED is Jewish is entirely part of the joke... it would be pretty funny if it was "What Would Jesus Watch by Michael Marshall" or something, but having that book be written by a Jewish author makes it even funnier... at least in my opinion.

A pretty decent episode. It certainly had it's moments.

Wow - I can't believe that no one has mentioned that the opening montage showed Springfield was by Wisconson (or somewhere by the Great Lakes)

Funny episode. Liked the appearence of Lovitz's characters. Also liked the kick in the nuts at the end of the show :)

I liked the bits more than the show as a whole.

But the actual 'story' didn't do much for me....How long has Artie been living in the attic? Is Homer *really* stupid enough to claim ownership of the company when a bunch of machine guns are pointing at him [Don't answer that...] And I was disappointed in seeing this classic show fall to the 'in bed on the first date' cliche. It seemed to wrap up too abruptly also.

I would have to say that comment applies to nearly every episode of the last couple years (if not longer). :)

How ever according to Marge, the simpsons do have an uncle arthur, who had a modo of "Kill them all and let god sort them out". And on "one grey december morn, he put his theory into practice", and it took 50 us marshalls to take him down.

That may have been accidental. The opening sequence was an homage to the short film "Powers of Ten" by Ray and Charles Eames. "Powers of Ten" started in Chicago.
