I was thinking the Rat Pack painting was bugged the whole time. I didn't even think the guy with a hat was an informant. I thought the guys outside were some of Tony's boys.
As for next weeks preview,
The long shot of the FBI logo was to make Adrianna feel nervous, I bet. I mean it was meant to linger in her mind, like we were seeing what she saw, and it took forever to disappear.
Christopher really looks like he is digging his own grave....
Anyhow, great episode, and as usual, I can't wait for next week.

I am wondering if Buscemi really means to go straight?
Can he really just be a masseuse for the family???

Dr. Melfi didn't appear in tonight's episode at all. Is there even anything left for her to do with the show? Lorraine Bracco's name is still in the opening credits, but what can they do with her character this season?

The older 'rat' was Ray Curto, who, in the first season was one of the guys who ranked, along with Tony, just below Jackie Aprile. Most of those guys are now dead, it seems. He's been known to us as an informant since last season, at least.

Very solid episode.
Regarding Adriana - as pointed out, the lingering FBI logo was indeed there to help Adriana increase her inner tension, and for a moment or two I think we all felt that a suicide or attempted suicide was in the works. But I think there was a major shift in her character at the end: her involvement with the FBI has left her feeling powerless, and suddenly she discovered that her relationship with the FBI also gives her some power... this could be interesting!

Also, I'm assuming that it was Tony who threw the Rat Pack picture over the bridge. If it was, it looks like he ditched the Suburban and picked up an Escalade.
Great episode last night. I especially liked the Adrianna plotline as hers was the most powerful of the episode (first time I think that's happened). Tony was hilarious, once again, with his drunken ramblings.

[sarcasm]It's a good thing we don't care about these minor characters, they add very little to the show...[/sarcasm]

Guess I'm in the minority here but I have only one word for last night's episode...boring.
It was way too much like a day time soap opera.
I almost dozed off a couple of times.

I dont know if im the only one who feels this way, but i think The Sopranos has lost its edge. Maybe it was the 20 months between seasons...i dont know. It seems like they are trying to "force" new characters into the show for no reason at all. I thought last nights episode was painfully slow. Hopefully the rest of the season will change my mind.

Adriana will definitely be dead before the season is over. I don't like the FBI agent she deals with at all.

I agree. This episode really didn't do anything for me. It would have been nice if Adriana told the women what was going on. It was nice to see Tony driving a new Escalade though. I wondered when he would finally get rid of that Suburban

i prefer and like everything nice and slow, it increases the tension for what could happen next, and also, there's lots of character development.

They don't have a long enough season to waste an entire episode like that. Especially with the writer's habit of introducing new characters and new story lines then never wrapping them up. We often never find out what happens next.

As a result of only being able to watch one episode at a time, I find them unsatisfying now.

I'm definately watching, but they seem to get over too soon

The "You're crowding me" line totally defined Tony B's character for me. He not really afraid of Tony S (in a mobster way), and being in prison for 15 years toughened him up, and he found ways to survive prison. It should be interesting to see childhood friends face off at each other, but at different angles than Tony S expects.
