I thought it was easy to cut loose 5 of the 20 contestant, otherwise, the cut to get down to 11 was a bit tougher. Glad that the one slim brunette (not the new mother) dressed in black made it through. The guy in the engineer overalls was pretty entertaining. The guy who did studio vocals had a decent voice, but he looks strange, I don't think we'll see Buddy Jewel redux with this guy.

I liked the new judges a lot, especially the DJ. Soft spoken guy but a great choice for a judge.

He sold his house and his car just to buy plane tickets? I guess the housing market in Ireland isn't experiencing the boom we have over here.
It looks like George Canyon (aka Dudley Dooright) is poised to take the whole thing.

I think the top 3 will be George, Brad and Brent. Lance will probably show up in 4th or 5th. Matt might squeak into the top 4 if his charm keeps his fans calling.
Sheila is probably the strongest vocally among the females, but she's not all that distinctive vocally, though easy on the eyes (reminds me of Summer on "The O.C.). Marty will probably have to settle for singing backup, to me her voice is too weak. Jennifer has the most distinctive of the females, but don't think she'll be in the top 5.

So now we are down to 3: George, Brad, and Matt (of all people).
Matt is like Red on American Idol, but with a bit more talent, but still not as good as the other 2.
I think Brad will win. His second song was spot on, and his singing has a way of sending shivers up and down my spine in a good way.
But it's going to be a close race.

Yeah, I'm pulling for Brad and my wife's choice is George.
While Matt's entertaining, Tracy Gershon has it right... he'll get a contract without a doubt, but not this one.
BTW, Tracy is Gina's sister... I thought they looked like siblings...

Of those left, the gf and I like all three, but we're pulling for Brad. Neither he nor George will have any problems with a record deal, though.
