Monk 2/27

Decent episode but some flaws

"Kiss each other"
A bit far fetched that a old woman wood marry a young jackass guy. And he didnt run at the end WTF, he knew her son was on the fone.

I guess you have to assume the guy kept the gold in a molten state (keeping a fire under the pot), and then added the black ink, and just wrote and wrote and wrote in all the books until all the gold was gone.

The shots of Monk while Sharona was using the flash on her camera were really funny. All of the "married" interaction scenes between Monk and Sharona were funny.

"Your're impossible"

"You married me"

The scene in the cave with the flash was hilarious.

Overall I didn't think they made the marriage story as funy as they could have but it was still a pretty good episode.

Perhaps it depends on how much gold was introduced in the ink. BTW, I think some of us are totally over-thINKing this.

Pretty good episode, especially for one involving a former Suddenly Susan cast member. Monk was great as always. Shaloub really makes this show...

I still laugh when I think of Nestor Carbonell as "Batmanuel" on "The Tick". It's weird to hear him without the thick hispanic accent.

Agreed. When I saw his name, I thought of Luis and BatManuel, but when I heard his accent, it totally threw me off.

Quick question...

Did I miss something or was there a specific reason that the guy married the cops mother? I know he wanted to get into the house but was it just a coincidence that it was the cops mom? (sorry but the names are drawing a blank!) :-)

The guy needed to be married to get into marital therapy at that house. It just happened that the guy preyed upon the cop's mother for a loveless marriage.

I didn't really think that she was THAT ugly or anything. At the beginning I thought that we would not see Disher's mother because they implied that she was so ugly. Guess I was wrong.
