Scrubs 2/24/04
Wow! What an ending. I didn't see that coming.
Chris |
Another amazing episode, that show just blows me away.
|
I love how they can have episodes like that.
now the question ... Spoiler:
|
I'd have to watch the episode again, because there are so many hidden meanings contained in it.
Damn them for making me think. Here I thought it was just another funny episode and then they drop the bomb at the end. I was tearing up a bit. Chris |

Damnit! I was baby-sitting my niece and I completely forgot this was on - I caught the last couple of minutes at the cemetary. That was sad enough as it is - how was the rest of the ep?
Could one of you fine people give me a nice recap, please? Thanks. |
Those are some damn good observations Chopper. Now it is clearer to me! :)

Great Episode!
"I'm the King of Gay Chicken!" |
I didn't catch it the first time around, but it makes perfect sense re-watching it.
Spoiler:
What a powerful episode... |
I caught it the first time, as soon as JD told Dr. Cox. I guess I'm too smart for my own good.
This episode made me very sad. :( |
I thought it was a nice touch that right after Dr. Cox was wondering why Ben isn't dressed up, Ben says: "Glad you made it." Shortly thereafter, everything gets turned on its head.
|
I kinda thought that it was him that died when JD told Dr Cox as well, and had it in the back of my mind throughout the episode, but when they dropped the bomb at the end, it still shocked me.
Great episode. Gay Chicken had me laughing all night long. Too bad that Fraser won't be returning. He was a great character. Hard to criticize the episode. While there was barely any Dr Jan Itor, and Kelso showed some softness, it was a phenomenal episode that ranks up there with the best of the season. |
I liked when Brenden Fraiser was playing puppet and was pulled off of the counter. "Nice commitment"

Nice catch chopper. I was scratching my head. Good call with the

I love how the writers/actors can float between all out comedy to drama. That is the reason why M*A*S*H had such great legs. |
Wow. Just...wow.
I can't even explain how much I love this show. And I think "gay chicken" is my favorite thing to ever come out of it. That being said, I was comPLETELY fooled by this episode. I just never saw it coming, even though there were a lot of "off" things that gave hints (JDs lack of defense of himself, the fact that no one responded to Brendan Fraser after the code, Cox pushing himself that hard, Kelso being nice, etc.) Anyway, it was great. |
10 seconds beofre the end, my wife

Great episode. "I'll check the dumpster" |

ok..my damn vcr(stone age appliance for analog recording onto extractable media) locked on the old tape.
So I missed it entirely. Was this a new episode. I had not seen any promos for brendan fraser...and swear when he was last on ..he did not make it then...but not sure. |
What a PHENOMENAL episode. Best of the season IMO.
|
It was interesting that Dr. Kelso attended the funeral ... was he referring to Ben (as well as his wife) about missing annoying things when they aren't around any more?

After watching the episode again, and knowing the outcome, there are quite a few clues. For example, "I don't attend parties where the guest of honor has no idea what is going on/what are you doing here?/Jordan called she wants to make sure this afternoon (Ben replies: the thing, put us down for Ben plus one)/it's been an emotional couple of days/how come you don't have to get all dressed up/etc" |
Kee-ripes!! The ending just knocked me on my ass! Great episode, great show, great writing.
|
great episode
|
One word - Wow
|
Yep one of the best ever.
I till think that the episode with Michael J. Fox was better. The one where they focused on his OCD but this was awful close. |
I was dissapointed in the Fox storylines. I thought that one was just amazing though.

AH. I once again forgot Scrubs is now on Tuesday nights. That's like 3 or 4 times I've forgotten. I set up and alarm on my computer but alas I was watching a movie and not at the computer so it didn't grab my attention. Oh well, atleast I'll have a "new to you" episode to look forward to come Summer ;)

I've just started watching this show this season and wow. This show is fantabulous. I'm not one of those people who LOL when watching tv by myself, but this ep never fails to make me bust a gut. Then they go and rip my heart out with the dramatic shiznit. This show should be required viewing for everyone.
I'm with the above poster in thinking that the Fox OCD ep was better, but this ep was still stellar. |
Man, I finally had the time to check this out last night on the ReplayTV, so I've been avoiding this thread like the plague till now. But man oh man, what a great episode. I try not to think when watching a TV show since it's my brain-dead time, so I didn't see that coming at all.
Great acting by all of them, I was esp surprised by Brenden Fraser! He was funny as hell! |
As for comparing the episodes, it is quite obvious MJF is a superior actor. While this episode might have been better that is because of the writers. I think they could have filled BF part with almost any actor.
I just hope they don't turn this into Will & Grace, "guest star of the week" syndrome. They are coming close though with Tara Reid, MJF, and Brendan Frazier. |
Also was not a fan of the MJF storyline, I liked him in Spin City, but not in scrubs.
I love Jordan though. :) |
one word also: W O W!! this was such a great episode, with a great ending.
so many good clues :) i jus loved it, prlly one of my fave eps! G x |
I know it has been a while since this episoda was on but I just rewatched it again (because it was such a damn good episode) and was wondering if anyone happened to know the song that was playing towards the end
Spoiler:

Maybe... Josh Radin - Winter
