madcougar 02-22-04 07:15 PM

Bullys rule!

Me007gold 02-22-04 07:15 PM

yeah well your gay! i just about fell out of my chair

BlackCapTen 02-22-04 07:16 PM

Pretty funny! Homer talking with that frog thing is great.

Brain Stew 02-22-04 07:28 PM

Best Simpsons episode in a long time!

Eric F 02-22-04 07:29 PM

I dunno, I found it totally unfunny. Not a single laugh.

Andalusia 02-22-04 07:31 PM

Chief, we got a problem. Eddie sees a vase, and I see two people in profile.

I always like Lisa (and Maggie) episodes...

Achtung 02-22-04 07:39 PM

It had its moments. Lisa episodes are usually pretty good. It did seem to have more serious moments than most though.

Eddie and Lou looking at the illusions
"You are Lisa Simpson"

Wow that was a terrific episode! Lots of good humor, though it wasn't hilarious, and a wonderful character-centered plot. I usually don't like guest stars playing themselves but this one worked. The episode also had some good visual imagination and zaniness (Barney and Moe, the giant human, etc.). Did anyone else things Azaria's Wiggum voice sounded off?

MrX 02-22-04 09:04 PM

"It's old lady Simpson, Run!"

Homer and the frog and Nelson on the bus were pretty good gags.

Actually, that wasn't supposed to be Simon Cowell, but somebody who looks, sounds, and acts like Simon Cowell. Really, it was a different character. No foolin'.

hotaru_san 02-22-04 09:20 PM

I thought is was pretty good, not great though.
I liked all the little comments at the end, that was a good use of Simon.

Nelson jumping out of the bus made me laugh too.

And a great use of continuity too, considering the Mr. Bergstrom episode (which was referenced with the framed picture) was over a decade ago.

Me007gold 02-22-04 09:33 PM

Mr. Boogerstrom ;)

second season

Chad 02-22-04 09:48 PM

It was good, but not nearly as funny as last week's. I don't usually care for the Lisacentric episodes and this was no exception.

And please stop it already with the shameless promotions for other FOX shows ...reality "stars" are NOT celebrities and have no business doing guest voices. Hey, we've already had to endure Evan Marriott. -ohbfrank-

Overall it's been a great season though.

Jackskeleton 02-22-04 10:12 PM

So far I'm liking the show. :) good to see simpsons be funny.

whynotsmile 02-22-04 10:19 PM

Not as great as others this season, but still funny. God damn, homer with that frog and Nelson jumping out of the emergency exit on the bus were great great jokes.

Gdrlv 02-22-04 10:55 PM

This season's finally giving me some hope in the Simpsons again. Great episode. Phonic Frog was absolutely hilarious.

outcastja 02-22-04 11:03 PM

I really liked the end with Maggie and the sax.

Ralph Wiggum 02-22-04 11:04 PM

I loved the Mr. Bergstrom reference. Decent episode overall.

ProjectMayhem 02-22-04 11:16 PM

This was the first episode I've watched since the tenth season. While it was in no way excellent, it sure as hell seemed to pick up since then. Overall, a very decent episode. I like the episodes that are focused on Lisa... they're usually pretty good.

Alyoshka 02-22-04 11:25 PM

Great episode!!!

fumanstan 02-23-04 12:58 AM

Funny stuff. I loved Nelson on the bus.

jonw9 02-23-04 08:35 AM

Liked Ha-oh-ma-eh-er with the frog.

I also liked the second episode (rerun) with the other Snowballs and Homer as the robot.

tofu 02-23-04 10:03 AM

The giant statue with the working digestive system was pretty cool.

While in the small intenstine . .
"Marge, don't say I ever take you anywhere"
"Mmmmmm"

alexkat 02-23-04 11:06 AM

I didn't understand the ending with Moe and Barney. Any reason why they were there as the butler and maid?

shhhhh... I'll explain later

icondude 02-23-04 11:12 AM

I'm still wondering about the Moe and Barney thing.

And I liked the part where they got crapped out of the giant human thing.

Andalusia 02-23-04 11:24 AM

Yeah, we weren't supposed to know what was up with Moe and Barney. That was the joke.

"You promised me no one would get hurt!"

Groucho 02-23-04 11:34 AM

They should do a "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" version of this episode from the POV of Moe and Barney.

Cardiff Giant11 02-23-04 08:25 PM

I enjoyed the episode as well. Phonics Frog was hilarious.
On the rerun that followed, I think my favorite gag was Dr. Hibbert saying "from now on I'm gonna keep my eyes on the road and off my Kool and the Gang air freshner. Celebration's over boys" rotfl

I'd never seen that episode before... was it from the current season?

Cops hide from "biker gang" by putting pizza sign on top of their car.

Lou: But what if they like pizza?
Wiggum: Way ahead of you...

*slaps giant Dominos sign on the side of the car*

Me007gold 02-23-04 09:01 PM

yeah that episode was from two weeks ago

Samuel 02-24-04 12:13 AM

Homer sleeping with the Frog speaking machine:

Zee zee zee zee zee zee
zee zee zee zee zee zee

rotfl

Damfino 02-24-04 02:09 AM

Best part was the homage to What Ever Happened to Baby Jane

Also, aren't Apu's children several years younger than Maggie?

shadowhawk2020 02-24-04 08:53 AM

I liked homer worst nightmare in the second ep "And now to remember those we have lost throughout the year" rotfl

Yes. But shouldn't Maggie be about 15? And Bart 20? ;)

neale 02-24-04 10:13 AM

Lisa's comments while on the "bitter" taste bud. Nice.

Good ep.

MrN 02-24-04 11:55 AM

I loved it.

Based on reactions to the last couple of episodes here, either the nay-sayers have finally stopped watching and/or posting, or the show has improved this season.
