Gary Sinese is in apparent talks to topline the new "CSI: New York" spin-off

- Teri Hatcher has joined ABC's "Desperate Housewives" which revolves around the secretive lives of the residents of a neighborhood cul-de-sac. Hatcher plays a lonely divorcee.

- Selma Blair will also return to television with the ABC pilot "Demarco Affairs". Blair will play one of three sisters who inherit their family's wedding planning business.

- Jennifer Love Hewitt will star in a new ABC pilot as sports producer and single mother that unwillingly becomes an on-camera reporter. No name yet.

- Taye Diggs will star in "Kevin Hill", a new UPN pilot from Mel Gibson. Diggs will star as Kevin Hill a lawyer/playboy that that has to dial back his wild life after he is forced to take custody of his niece after her parents are killed in a car crash

- "House of Sand & Fog" actress Shohreh Aghdashlo has joined ABC pilot "The Secret Service". She plays the boss of the Washington divison and the female lead who struggles to balance her home and work lives.

- Tim Daly is in final negotiations to star in ABC's pilot "Eyes" as the president of a high-powered risk management company.

- Aisha Tyler has joined an untitled CBS sitcom pilot as a sophisticated single New Yorker who makes a career jump from a small fashion house to a large corporation.

- Jeff Goldblum will star in the NBC pilot about the relationship between a millionaire/playboy and his therapist.

- Christopher Lloyd & Kirsten Storms have signed on for the CBS pilot "Clubhouse", a coming-of-age drama about a New York Yankees batboy who has no idea his family connections got him the job. Mel Gibson is producing.

- Chris O'Donnell & Jay Harrington have joined "The Amazing Westerburgs" about two Manhattanite brothers that were raised to believe they could do anything - but have hard time finding success.

- Rachel Shelley and Kristoffer Polaha will star in Fox's "Oahu" which follows the relationships between the wealthy guests of a luxurious Hawaiian hotel and the employees that work there.

- Bridget Moynahan is in talks for a role in "Sex Talk"

- Mike Erwin ("Everwood") will play Major Don West in The WB's "The Robinsons: Lost in Space" remake.

- Matthew Long & Christine Lahti have joined The WB's "Jack & Bobby" about a single mother raising two boys, one of which will grow up to be President.

- Judy Greer is up for the lead in "Kat Plus One".

I'm very intrigued by the Gary Sinese CSI stuff. I've always liked him, and would by interested in what he could do with the part.

If it's on Fox, it has the chance to be very juicy.

Gary Sinise and CSI - sounds intriguing.

Sounds like Las Vegas only in Hawaii, though.

What happened to Selleck and CSI:NY? Is that rumor dead now?

Just add Gary Sinese to CSI: Miami and dump Caruso.

For those who are wondering, Mike Erwin played Colin Hart.

I'd have to see the rest of cast to make a decision on this one. But if he's gonna be Major West... he's kind of young...

CSI: New York? Boy, ABC better get going and bring out Alias: FBI, Alias: ATF and Alias: CTU or else it's going to be the only one of the big three networks that doesn't pad its schedule with uninspired reworkings of a hit show.

I prefer selleck to sinise for the csi role.

selleck at least has some humour to him.

I read today that grissom is big time pissed and won't renew his contract after the end of the 04-05 season. although how true that is I don't know

NYPD Blue: Chicago
LA Law: Omaha

He's been pissed since they made CSI:Miami.

Here's tvguide.com on his contract
NOT SO FAST: William Petersen might want to investigate the terms of his CSI deal. As reported here yesterday, the actor hinted in the current issue of Playboy magazine that he might leave his gig on TV's No. 1 show "at the end of next year." But before you could say "negotiations ploy," a CBS source presented TV Guide Online with some rather damning evidence: Petersen is contractually bound to play Gil Grissom through the 2006-07 season.

I read the Petersen Playboy 20 Questions article. He really came off as a conceited bitter a-hole. Not only did he rip Bruckheimer and CBS for Miami, he went after the producers of Silence of the Lambs/Manhunter/Red Dragon.

Petersen is also executive producer of the 1st CSI show, so he could sit back and watch the money roll in even if he isn't on the show.

I may have a real problem with that Oahu series. Mainly the same problems I had with any show outside of Magnum PI and Hawaii 5-0, where are the local people?

There weren't many local people in Baywatch Hawaii, Hawaiian Heat, Birds of Paradise, One West Waikiki.. there better be a buncha local people working in that hotel. Not just one or two.

Will Peterson, Gary Sinise....why not just make it CSI:Chicago so these guys don't have to leave there home town!

Some of those pilots sound interesting though.....but it is TV so chances of at least one being very good are somewhat bad.
