Does your On Demand work?

My friend's dad has the HD box through Comcast, but his On Demand service has never worked. On many occasions I have tried to order an episode of an HBO series, and have had nothing but problems. Does everyone else's work?

My friend uses thiers without a problem so I don't know what to tell you. If you have a splitter installed make sure it allows traffic to flow both ways. We didn't early on and we always had to call in ppv orders until we switched the splitter.

Well it's not mine, I have Directv, but they called to have Comcast come out on Monday to find out what's the problem.

I use my Ondemand on a regular basis and don't have issues. The only problem I have is when the server is down which is practically never.

My wife seems to run into trouble with the HBO On Demand on a fairly regular basis although I've never really had trouble with it.

I had this problem. It not only affected my ability to run On Demand, but it also gave me bad recpetion (at times) of certain broadcast stations. To rectify the problem, my cable provider had to replace the very old and worn cable which ran from their junction box (or whatever it's called) into my domocile. Now everything works great.

Of course, it took two visits from tech people before it was propperly dealt with. But the upside is that the first guy who came out removed some filters to try to fix my problem, and all that did was give me free HBO (3 channels), TMC, and Showtime. Shhh. Don't tell anyone.

A friend of mine uses it regularly (Time Warner) without problems.

I tell him I have "on demand" all the time - it's called DVDs.
