Tru Calling 2-12-04

Since no one has started a thread I will.

Another good episode that pushed the envelope of the formula. And in spite of the fact I figured out the killer very early (I nearly always seem to be able to do it with this show), it's always fun to see how it plays out. (Didn't fool me for a second with his death either). Also, since Devon Gummersall played nice guy neighbor boy in My So-Called Life, I always seem to see him play bad guys like the date rapist on Felicity and a kid always getting into trouble on Roswell. The moment I saw him I said "That's the guy."

Biggest thing though was in the preview (next show three weeks from now ) (do not read if you didn't see the preview and don't want to know):
Spoiler:
Davis tells Tru her mother did this before her. Now while this is about the least surprising surprise of the TV season, I still wonder why they showed this in the preview for a program that will not even air for three weeks.

I like this episode too. Tru's instinct to not let hitchiker in her car was right on the mark. Like the twist where the hitchiker died. Threw me off his scent for a while.

I thought the biggest thing in the preview was

Spoiler:
Brandon Walsh coming to Tru-ville

Does that whole "New Attitude" part of the preview suggest that they're worried or maybe stressing, even gettting desperate? Every time I hear that I think of Carmen Electra being brought in on Hyperion Bay

I liked the episode too.

It was pretty easy to figure out who the killer was but it's good to see them come up with different ways of having a story instead of the formula they folowed when theshow started.
