How odd. You'd think he'd atleast shoot two shows on Friday or something like Dave usually does for his Friday show.

Not really. He deserves it after what he's done for that slot on NBC. He's taken Dave's old slot, and turned a weak show into a ratings powerhouse. It's at or better in the ratings compared to when Dave had it.

Plus, I think he has a house outside the city, so it allows for him to get to it.

During the monday day off they usually shoot the skits and segments that run after the stand up/greet when he's at his desk so if you ask me, it's well worth him having the day off.

I think most fans of the show have come to realize that monday is repeat night.

Did anyone outside of Toronto find it funny? I thought it was hilarious (though the crowd was somewhat annoying).
And if anyone is wondering about the guy with the light up jacket, he likes to annoy people at concerts... I've seen him at Radiohead, Strokes and other concerts.

It was a good show but i couldnt help but feel left out, too many Canadian references i didnt get. But Conan was great as always, that hockey skit was awesome!

I hate Ron James. Please don't judge him as the best of what Canada has to offer. He is simply horrible.

Yeah, the flyerman... I've never understood that guy... why does he go to so many concerts, and why does he just walk around with his lame ass jacket (he never seems to be watching the concert) and he doesn't hand out flyers and as far as I can tell he isn't selling anything or advertising... weird guy.

Anyhow, I thought the show was hysterical... of course, I'm biased since I understood all of the references.... can't wait for fridays show - Barenaked Ladies, Eric McCormack and JIM CARREY... talk about a great lineup.

The crowd is nothing but a bunch of sycophants, and he's playing to their base reactions by kissing up and making favourable Canada vs. U.S. comparisons.
On the other hand, his vignettes and tableaux of the city aren't very flattering.

Tell you what, you keep Carrey and Dion, and we'll take back Michael J. Fox and Martin Short.

I didn't realize that Canadians hated Celine Dion just as much as we Americans do.

I totally forgot about this last night. What a pissoff. Who was on, besides Carrey (I am assuming that he was on)?

Yesterday it was Micheal J Fox, Nickelback and a Moose caller. (and a fight between the CN Tower and the Seattle Space Needle.)(Mudwrestling)
Tonight is Adam Sandler and Stompin' Tom Connors singing "The Hockey Song"
Friday is Jim Carrey, Eric McCormick and Barenaked Ladies.

Indeed.

There is going to be a sh*tstorm in Canada over Triumph's actions last night. Sportscaster Don Cherry (a joke reference from earlier on in the week) just got in trouble for saying that mostly Europeans and French players wear visors (which he is against). Anyway, there was a huge backlash against him for calling the French wimps, and now he is on a seven second delay, etc (this is not the first time that he has said such things, but he is a bit of a blowhard, so no one takes him seriously....he is very entertaining though).

Conan should have saved the Triumph segment until tonight's show, since it is the last. I have nothing against what he said (I thought that it fell a bit flat), but I would be shocked if some politicians didn't pick it up and use it as proof on how badly the French are treated in Canada, especially after the fury about Cherry.

A big to Stompin' Tom!

I love the Canada talks between Max and Conan and the final look they give each other. Triumph was funny, though making fun of Quebec was hardly a challenge.
