Rudy's parting words:

"I talk to these people about 2 hours ago, and everything was all set up to vote Ethan off, and uh, I can see Ethan voting against me, but I can't see the other two people vote against me. And If were them, I would stay clear of me. I got a lot of friends. That's about all I got to say."

I know they've already lost 2, but with Rupert and Ethan I don't think they'll be losing too much.

What was with that reward challenge though? It ended up being pointless because everybody got the reward. What tribe would've chosen blankets over flint and a step toward rice?

Also, I have to say I was disappointed with aicn today. They basically revealed that Rudy was going to be eliminated tonight on their front page. They also say they have the complete elimination order. I don't know why I scrolled down on the story since I don't want to know, but luckily I only noticed one name before I stopped looking at it.

And Rupert began his fish catching once again. If the other tribes can't follow suit they'll be in bad shape.

Is anyone else really impressed with Jerri this season? I hated her the first time around - but last night she was really working hard during those challenges, and she seemed to genuinely regret having to boot Rudy from the show. She's one of my favorites this year...

I just said that last night. I think Rupert might have messed up mentioning an allience with Rudy. Those to guys making a pact on their word would be impossible to seperate.

I also am wondering what would happen if the team actually brok into the rice?

Jeri's teeth scare me because they look liked they've been grinded down to look perfectly level from one side to the other side of teeth.

I was dissapointed that they let Rudy Go.

That challenge with the boat was an excellent one. And a couple of teams eventually figured out what to do.

The idea of tipping the boat over under the water to empty out the boxes. excellent. and then the red team dragging the boat up on the raft and then having it empty was gold. No idea why the others did not do the same right away.

I am enjoying this more than I thought I would as I said last week I have never watched a survivor. But its pretty fun and I recognise most of the players.

I wish the rules were a little tighter in the challenges. I thought it was pretty silly that you didn't even have to ride in your rowboat, that you could just push it to shore.

I thought Rupert was doing a pretty good Special Ed impression when they finally got the fire going jumping around and saying "Fire, Yaaay".

I liked Rudy better than Ethan too. If I were there, I'd probably keep Ethan for the strength but Rudy and his war stories have to be really cool. Plus he's 75 so he's got tons more stories to tell when you're bored to death for hours on end there.

I also thought that it was interesting that they let them get away with just swimming along with the boat or rowing the submerged boat, but I guess they did since the last 2 tribes were both doing it, neither had an advantage at that point.

And Boston Rob is a lot smarter than he looks. It looked like he was the one that came up with tipping the boat while underwater and pulling the boat out of the water. I also liked his idea of Breaking open the crate. What would the producers have done, kicked the entire tribe off the island? If they were actually stranded there, they would have busted that thing open in a heartbeat.

Yeah -- a Rudy / Rupert / Ethan alliance would have been a dominating force.

I don't know if it was attempted, and if so, whose fault it was that it didn't go through. It could have been Rudy's fault if he didn't try -- since all he usually says is "let's form an alliance" without necessarily strategizing -- it looked like he was ready to vote Ethan off without thinking it through. Or perhaps Rupert was too easily swayed by the girls' arguments, but gave Rudy the "sympathy" or "i gave my word" vote.

Or, as Red Dog suggested, perhaps Rupert / Rudy tried to get Ethan onboard, but failed. In this case, i still don't see Ethan's reasoning. You're kicking out the girl who wants you gone (Jenna), and then your alliance is up 3-1 -- ready to kick out Jerri next. By the time you're down to three (at which time Rudy/Rupert would potentially kick out Ethan), some merge or something will happen, so Ethan would be free to create a new alliance elsewhere.

As it stands now, there's 4 people left on that team, 1 who wants the previous winners kicked out, 1 who is catching fish, and 1 who is a previous winner. Guess who's next?

I agree. I would have loved to see them try. I just hate how we see them talking about it, but then we don't know if they didn't do it because 1) they gave up on the idea or 2) the producers told them they weren't allowed to.

I'm guessing that the reason was #2. But of course, the producers end up airing their discussion of breaking it open anyways...

Yeah - Pretty Boy Probst will probably laugh at them for not breaking into the box before having the keys.

I think they are going to split the Saboga tribe next week and form two tribes based on this preview tidbit from the official site:

Nature's fury and an unexpected twist send all the castaways on an emotional roller coaster ride.

That would put it at 8 players per team. I'll also bet that a male and a female will go to each tribe. I guess Rupert & Jenna L. to Chapera, and Ethan & Jerri to Mogo Mogo. That would put the tribes like this:

Chapera
Alicia
Amber
Rob C.
Rob M.
Susan
Tom
Rupert
Jenna L.

Mogo Mogo
Colby
Jeena M.
Kathy
Lex
Richard
Shii Ann
Ethan
Jerri

Time will tell...

Here's what will happen next week in case you're wondering :

Spoiler:
Nature's fury and an unexpected twist send all the castaways on an emotional roller coaster ride.

Jenna M. leaves the show because her mother passed away from cancer and Richard Hatch is attacked by a shark ( not a big one, but still a shark )

I don't know why everyone got it in their head that they had to vote out either Rudy or Ethan. Get one of those broads out of there.

Rudy's final words were hilarious and terrifying. Thanks for posting the transcript!

Rupert also did a good Special Ed in TC when he said "I caught a fish! I poked it with a stick and I caught a fish!" He's awesome.

By the way, i saw the Early Show this morning, and Rudy says that although he was pretty mad, he's gotten over it and he thinks the tribe did the correct thing in voting him off...

I think Rupert isn't the type of guy to invite people into an alliance, but he was the one that needed to do this one. He knew the choice was down to Ethan and Rudy. He could've gone to both of them to pick someone else, but can you really imagine Rupert doing that? He's not the scheming type.

I was really disappointed in the reward and that they decided to let everyone have flints. Does anyone remember Richard Hatch making fire in the first season? I remember him doing it, but I don't remember it being so easy like him and Jeff were making it sound. I was hoping they'd get to the point where Richard would have to step in and try something. I'm sure he will end up bringing in fish before he gets voted out though.

They haven't been showing much of Rob C. I think he's the smartest one out there.

It looked like he was doing an impression of Tom Hanks in Cast Away when he finally made fire.

Definitely! Jenna is annoying as anything. I loved the when Ethan said to the camera with much sarcasm, "Oh Thank you Jenna for allowing me to stay.. " The three men should have teamed up and ousted the women. Why do the women always get the "girl power" alliances going? Seems like the men never put together many effective male alliances. I guess they are too threatened by each other.

Great challenge. The instructions, "Get your boat up then bail out all the water" threw the first team off, who apparently thought they had to have a full boat first..." VERY smrt. of the next team to get it onto the raft first THEN flip it.

Dick is a moron. His nekkidness was a slight bizarre novelty in #1 but here it seems he's nekkid most of the time ("and none of us seem to mind--THIS is a problem!")...

Granted he doesn't have much chance no matter what he does, but he still isn't doing anything special.
