On the discovery website, they're accepting applications for a new castmember to join them in Mythbusting. I'm not sure if it is a contest thing or what, as I didn't get too far into it, as it requires one to be 21 or older.

Three frickin' college degrees, and I can't drink, can't become a police officer, join the foreign service, or even become a member of the Mythbuster's team...

:grunt:

Leave the USA and you can drink.

Land of the free? or beer?

YOU DECIDE.

Muggins,

You're not 21 and you already have three college degrees? Please elaborate.

I suppose one could say I was a rather studious person. I managed to get an A.A. and two B.A.s by the age of 19.

BizRodian,

I never tire of the old bromide. Keep up the good work!

muggins is our resident genius. I think he's the only person here with an IQ over 90.

Great show! Definitely on my Tivo.

The original Mythbusters aired sometime last spring. I think the series started during the summer.

I always enjoy when they go for "more power" and blow stuff up. That poor crash test dummy has been through hell.

I have as well.

I think one of my favorite ones was where they tested out the rocket car.

Either that or the chicken gun one, especially when they realize that the windshields of the Piper weren't rated for bird strikes.

:)

THIS ONE WAS GREAT, THE BUILD UP WAS BETTER THAN THE ACTUAL TEST THOUGH. sorry caps lock was on...

I think thi swas the one they tried to suckion the guys ass to the plane toilet too

I'm pretty new to Mythbusters, and I love it.

This website also has science experiments combined with a sense of humor and fun:

I also like they kept Kari (I think that's her name) over that other chick. :p

But I do like the show, although I wasn't that interested in the last episode with the black powder engine...

'nuff said.

Oh, and I love the show too. The group is funny, inventive. talented and entertaining. 10x better than most of the "reality" programming out there.

She's pretty much the main reason why this thread has so many posts in it:

My whole family loves this show. We keep several re-runs on each Tivo, so we can watch either together or each our own episode.

Yeah

I like the show, but I guess my attention span isn't what it used to be, cause it runs waaay to long for me. Set it up, do the experiment, break the experiment, move on to the next.... that's what I'd like to see.

Is it a 60 minute show (I don't recall). Maybe 30 mins would be better?

shaun3000 10-25-06 09:54 PM

They used to do exactly that. They would do one complete expirament, then the next, then the next. The new one basically has all the cool stuff at the end and 50 minutes of boring antics. Not sure why they changed the format around as the old one worked and is what made the show popular.
