A "HAIL MARY" play for Enterprise? Berman might be bye-bye.

DVD Talk Hall of Fame
I was reading an article in Time when Nemesis came out, with Berman being interviewed which was basically all about how Star Trek has survived only by catering to the broad, doing big tits big action type things. I thought this was so funny given Voyager's ratings and such.
Star Trek died for me back in '99 so I really don't care anymore. If Berman and Braga are gone, that's good, but it could be a lot worse. I don't think Paramount brass is smart enough to see what they're doing wrong because B&B sure didn't.... and they were just trying to please the brass.

Another interesting development turned up today at TrekWeb.
LINK
Among the interesting points:
Berman confirms for the first time that he is now developing a STAR TREK feature film project: "I am involved in the very early stages of what could be the next STAR TREK movie," reveals Berman, in an excerpt provided by Dreamwatch. "It's something I will be producing with two other producers."
...he cryptically describes it as "a prequel" without any further elaboration. The names of his producing cohorts will have to remain unknown for now, as well. This follows a report earlier this week from Dark Horizons that Paramount may be working on a project the site described as "Starfleet Command."
Berman confirms that he is developing a non-STAR TREK sci-fi series with partner Brannon Braga.
Looks like this could set the stage for some interesting developments. It this a publicity-friendly way for Paramount to slide B&B away from Trek? What does this mean for the continually-anemic Enterprise?
Discuss.

Sounds like this dumb-ass prequel rumor from last month may have some truth to it?
