okay, Randi's a retard.

why the hell is she selling Steve as the "man of her dreams"?

she should just tell her friend, "you know, he's not that good looking, but he's funny and goofy, and I just want to be with someone who can make me laugh."

then she just laughs at all the stupid shit he does, and it'll look somewhat convincing.

dumb. just dumb. is she trying to lose the money?

other than that, I love this show.

This show is awesome. It would be great if they had a reunion show at the end in which she would forgive him, fall in love with him, and they could live happily ever after. That would be funny.

Yeah, I'm absolutely loving this show, but I have no idea what Randi's thinking. She doesn't seem to be doing anything to try to sell Steve as her fiance so far. It's half a mil. I'm a guy and I'd be all over Steve for half a mil. But I guess it sounds like it wouldn't necessarily help if she was more affectionate with Steve since that's not how she normally is anyway.

Randi's an idiot. Their's no way she's going to be able to convince people this is real.

The part with the sex therapist was great

I've been waiting for somebody to say this. A prediction like has made for every show of this nature so far.

Randi comes off as completely humorless. I did find it funny that she demanded that Steve not call her pet names, yet when she encounters her best friend, she immediately yells "Anna Banana!"

Good stuff.

Randi comes off as completely humorless.
That's what makes it so great.

I will have to say....she looked really good in a few of those wedding gowns.

I don't mean to come down on anyone by asking this. I just don't understand it personally and I'm curious to know, that's all!

What is the appeal of this show to you? I'm not a fan of reality in general, but this show strikes me as the worst yet. Help me understand!

It makes me laugh. How's that? There are reality shows that I like (Survivor, Apprentice, this) and reality shows I hate (American Idol, Simple Life).

I felt kinda bad for Randi who has to put up with someone like Steve. But I guess I can understand it's all just a game show where she's doing it for a lot of money. I do hope she can convince her family that they are for real and win the money.

The visit to the sex therapist was pretty funny. I guess next week his "family" will come visit, should be interesting.

As far as the appeal, I really don't know, maybe because it's something new? I liked Joe Millionairre, but watched maybe 30 minutes of J.M. 2. I liked Average Joe, but have only seen a few minutes of A.J. 2. I have never watched Big Brother, Survivor, Real World, etc etc.

Actually, at this time this is the only show I watch. I keep trying to watch Scrubs, but can never figure out what time it is on. I'll watch TLC, History Channel, etc, but not any particular show, just whatever is on and looks interesting. And I think that I'm the only person who has *never* seen an episode of Friends.

I wish I had teachers who looked like that when I went to my Catholic High School. I might have actually enjoyed going. She really loves those hooker boots. I also thought the "no anal sex" hint was extremely funny.

It makes you wonder - when they cast her, what were they looking for? I'll wager the instructions for casting were as follows:

"Find someone who is as pretty and uptight as humanly possible."

Geez, this girl needs to loosen up a bit. I know they're messing with her and it's probably edited to make her look bad, but MAN is she wound tight.

I do like the idea of her family being in on it - hadn't thought of that myself, but it's the sort of twist that a show like this would have. The reason I don't believe it is because if that were the twist, FOX would already be running commercials saying, "and don't miss the biggest, most shocking twist in game show history!"

If there's a twist, leave it to the networks to let you know it's coming a year and a half in advance ....

The fact that Randi seems so uptight makes me really surprised that she hasn't gotten pissed at Steve yet. I mean, she's angry at him all the time, but she hasn't lost it yet. I keep waiting for her to yell at him and she can't really do it once she's around the 2 families.

As for the appeal of the show, the biggest appeal is how hilarious Steve is. Because of the twist of the show, I think his performance is actually going to be a little underrated. I think he's doing a great job. I could never get into either Joe Millionaires because both guys and probably most of the women were such idiots, I couldn't stand watching it. Steve might be portraying a dumb person, but there's a big difference in over the top idiot like Steve and boring idiot like Joe Millionaire.

I love this show. I really thought this show would be a load of crap like so many other "reality" shows but I laugh so hard that it more than makes up for being "another reality show."

I can see why Randi is so uptight...have you seen the clips of her parents & brother? They seem crazy uptight as well.

This may have been posted but I finally placed Steve and where I have seen him before. He is one of the two big guys on the Swanson TV dinner commercial. He is the guy that ate a "water-crest tea salad with just a spring of parsley" that gets blown through the locker room walls with a hair dryer. That commercial makes me laugh everytime I see it.

Ok, you have all convinced me to try this show again next week. My husband and I started watching it the other night and after 10 minutes of repeated clips and NO story progression we finally gave up. I think there is only about 15 minutes of actual show if you take out the in-show promos. Maybe I will tape it this time. :P

This show is awesome because it is so funny in a punk'd kinda way.

Steve's laugh cracks me up everytime. He probably will be going to hell for what he's doing to Randi.

How many more episodes are there?

Is "humorless" another way to say "shallow, self-centered, arrogant bitch?"
