Did they get new writers, or bring back old writers? This season is turnign out way better than the past few years.

fourwalker 01-25-04 07:31 PM

wish they had used the car salesman career as one of their main stories instead of one of the ones leading up to the main one. Guess they can always revisit it down the road.

Andalusia 01-25-04 07:32 PM

Yet another excellent episode. Especially liked the peek inside Lisa's brain.

no

shaun3000 01-25-04 07:34 PM

OK. I missed the first 5 minutes so I was a little lost.

He should be dead.

remember the old question "what popular simpsons characters have died?"

exactly what made it a bit funnier.

Rogue588 01-25-04 07:56 PM

didn't care for it.

Me007gold 01-25-04 08:05 PM

right hes supposto be dead, but its a cartoon, it dosnt have to make sence

POWERBOMB 01-25-04 08:05 PM

D'oh! I thought it would be a repeat cuz of the Globes show on NBC.

You are wrong. They were never popular!" ~ Troy McClure

Woohoo! Gary Numan makes the Simpsons.

This was a strange episode for me. It was quite forgetable, but I kept laughing and laughing. This has been a very good season.

Who let Ralph Wiggum into the forum?

Deftones 01-25-04 10:23 PM

the best part of the show was when the clown flew away and Homer got up and danced around.

The part in Lisa's brain was funny as well.

MrX 01-25-04 10:39 PM

I thought it started off weak but picked up at the end.

Dr. Marvin Monroe and Lisa's brain were all good.

boogieman03 01-25-04 10:46 PM

I had this weird "voice over" happening during the episode. A voice would come in and start describing whats happening on screen. It was strange, as I haven't seen anybody on any board mention it. This was on the HD channel of Fox. The regular channel didn't have this.

Can anybody help me out?

shaun3000 01-25-04 11:15 PM

Descriptive video service. Some DVDs have this, like the Terminator 2 that came out a few years ago. Not sure how HDTV works, but if it's like regular TV, the DVS is usually broadcast on the SAP.

Deftones 01-25-04 11:15 PM

was your TV on the SAP channel, boogieman03?

That was me, sorry. You seemed a little lost.

boogieman03 01-25-04 11:21 PM

It was all in English. For a while there, I thought it was part of the episode.

I don't think the tv was on SAP. I didn't change anything. It was ok afterwars for Bernie Mac.

shaun3000 01-25-04 11:52 PM

SAP doesn't mean dubbed in Spanish. It's Second Audio Program. Lots of times used for Spanish, but it's also used for the descriptive video thing I was talking about.

One of the TV stations in my home town, Dallas, uses it to broadcast the weather channel. (I think WFAA-TV, ch. 8, for you Dallasites)

Decent episode. Was the look inside Lisa's brain a "Herman's Head" reference? I can't remember the show much but I know each character controlled a part of the brain.

Yeardley Smith (Lisa) was a member of the cast of Herman's Head. That makes the second reference in the last couple weeks.
