I guessed the Covenant wants Syd alive. Remember, she's the key to the second coming according to Rembaldi and I'm guessing they're not dumb enough to have stored all of the Rembaldi DNA in one location (you know the one Syd firebombed last week).

[off topic alert]
Just curious, but do you go to BGSU? Dad went there, and we went to the Motor City Bowl last month.

Except the whole reason to shoot the pilots was so that Sydney and Vaughn would die in a plane crash. We even heard the order to kill them being given.

Exactly. They should've just done the Temple of Doom move, where the pilots are bad guys and jump out of the plane while Syd and Vaughn were asleep.

That's true, forgot that point. Guess the Covenant is bitter about firebombing the Rembaldi DNA so maybe they wanted an equally firey death for our heroes? And yes djbrown, I do attend BGSU, go Falcons!

10-8's season finale is next week, so I am assuming that is the timeslot Sisco will be taking over. At least a show that I really like is being replaced by a show that I like even more.

There's another month before Karen Sisco returns, so who knows what the Mouse will put in the 8 p.m. EST timeslot on Sundays.

They'll probably just have the old Wonderful World of Disney movies from 7/6 - 9/8 central. That or some really bad reality programming.

Haven't 20 James Bond films taught you anything? What about frikin' Austin Powers? The bad guys can't just shoot the good guys, they need to give them away out so that they can live another day.

Otherwise, Scott would just be going to his room for his gun ...

I read somewhere (I think on the ABC discussion board) that they are putting "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on because the special episode of it is the only show to beat a new episode of Law and Order in 3.5 years, so they are hoping it will help the ratings. I've grown to love ABC for putting faith in shows that they know are good.

Yeah, don't remind me. He gives me the hot, and his age makes me feel like a dirty old woman.

They have been much better in the past couple of years.

However, I have to wonder how much longer they can keep Alias going, with the ratings constantly being so mediocre.

This week's episode placed 4th in its timeslot.

I feel the same way! Since they took Bradley Cooper away there's nothing else to do.

I guess I like 'em young-- my husband is 5 years younger than me, and David Anders (Sark) is 10 years younger than me-- next thing you know, I'll be trolling the playgrounds.

Although, on the other side of the spectrum I think Jack Bristow is also pretty yummy. Loved the kiss with Isabella!

they weren't going to make her a bad guy because it would be too easy
.
According to the most recent interview ( www.melissageorge.co.uk ), she said that it was planned from the beginning of the season to make her a baddie and it was not because so many fans hated her. Still a shame though.

Pretty obvious turn. Dissapointing for sure, but hopefully it will turn out to be a good storyline.

A spoiler about casting for an upcoming episode.

Spoiler:
"Alias"
Zap2It confirms that Quentin Tarantino will reprise his role of McKenas Cole in the episode "After Six" on February 14th. QT previously guest-starred as former SD-6 agent turned rogue Cole in the first season two-parter "The Box" and his voice was heard in last week's "Full Disclosure". His return for 'Six' however is more of a cameo than a major role like his 'Box' work.

I am in the camp who thinks that Katya=Irinia. Would make sense from a financial standpoint, and easily explained away in this show's outlandish world.
