I just can't see it. His character is SO central to the entire show, whereas there has never been a L&O cast member I ever thought of as irreplaceable. But who knows...

This was a decent episode. I knew someone in that truck was going to get shot w/all those bullets flying, but I'm sorry it was her. As far the Chloe/baby thing, just annoying. "Parents are a protected class"--Huh? What is she talking about?? Better be more to it...

Nina alternates between smoking hot and man-ish

Rogue588 01-14-04 01:11 PM

all I see is man..

Was anyone really surprised to see Sherry back? I like the fact that former major characters are coming back (Nina/Sherry), but if they continue to make like the characters are done at the end of a season only to bring them back the next year for a "shocking twist", it isn't going to be shocking anymore. It's to the point now that I expect them to be coming back each year. Then when they show up I'm not surprised.

I wanted to throw something at here when she said that. "Protected class"? Is this a java program she's talking about?

She had better have some kind of importance to this plot...

You're all going to feel pretty dumb when Chloe ends up being Nina's buyer, and she's buying it for Sherri, who is also shacking up & partnered with the Milligan guy, who is going to use it to allow Jamaica to take over the US (doesn't he seem Jamaican to you?) - all because Palmer's brother slept with his not that hot wife.

She's gonna eat that baby, I'm telling you...

I've got this terrific image of her unhinging her jaw and swallowing the baby whole.

Roto 01-14-04 03:07 PM

Then Chapelle will walk in on her and he'll be next

philo 01-14-04 07:40 PM

I was just glad to hear Jack whip out the "you just have to trust me" line again. :D That dude would be one killer used car salesman.

As pointless as the baby subplot might seem, it'll be tough to top Michelle's crazy brother from last year.

Buck Turgidson 01-14-04 08:41 PM

Maybe she'll feed the baby to that still-hungy mountain lion.

AlainDelon 01-14-04 09:11 PM

I can't beleive everybody seems to think the baby plot is benign. The very first thing that hit me was that CTU has been compromised in some way. There is something(maybe even the virus)on the baby or it's carriage.

Rogue588 01-14-04 09:12 PM

there's a BOMB in the baby!

I don't think the baby benign. I think he be one at the most, probably younger.

Breakfast with Girls 01-14-04 10:10 PM

Maybe the baby is the buyer?

The baby will turn out to be George Mason, reincarnated. He has returned to our planet to kick ass, take names, and chew bubblegum for Jesus. But the Almighty's master plan goes horribly awry when, in a fit of rage and/or bad writing, Chloe eats him.

Now, the question that's really on our minds: does she eat the baby to piss off Chapelle, or simply out of spite?

Is Chloe Satan?

Decker 01-15-04 12:01 AM

I liked that episode. I'm always a fan of those episodes where things actually happen.

Poor Claudia, what bad luck -- she was hit in the 5% of her face not covered by her lips.

Today's best moment of disbelief : Hector Salazar can infiltrate moles into CTU, arrainge the dumping of bodies killed with a weaponized virus, organize an army of men to greet a landing plane in the middle of a field. but when his girlfriend, her father and an escaping CTU agent leave his property with guns a-blazin', he can't place a call to his brother on his cell phone in the first twenty minutes?

Remember he did all that with the help of Jack, Tony, and Gael at CTU because they wanted it to happen. I don't think Hector is a wise as you make him out to be.

Michael Corvin 01-15-04 08:34 AM

Hector is a tool. lol.

Roto 01-15-04 09:32 AM

I now think that baby is the greatest plot device ever on 24, just because of this thread rotfl

Bandoman 01-15-04 09:42 AM

Maybe the baby is Nina's child, which Chloe is holding hostage so Nina will get the virus for Jack (because we all know we will learn later than Jack and Chloe are having an affair), and when Gael finds out he is the baby's father he'll try to take the baby away.

Or maybe the baby will cry out during sensitive telephone negotiations with terrorists who gain control of hte virus, blowing the negotiations and forcing Jack to once again plead "You'll just have to trust me!".

Patman 01-15-04 09:52 AM

Maybe the baby will experience growth like soap opera babies, where they age 10 years over a summer, so by the end of this season (day), the baby will be walking and potty-trained.
