damn, the cable company changed the channels

They changed most of the channels over the weekend. I was gonna tape "curb your enthusiasum" but I ended up getting some movie on espn classic. I thought they were gonna change them in feb, not now. Now I got to learn all of the channels, and they didn't add any new channels. Who also hates when they do this.

Cable? What is this thing you speak of?

I haven seen them change channels much, except when they add/delete channels. Which was almost never.

However, I’ve often thought that the reason for most cable rate increases is they keep changing their names. It must cost a fortune repainting the trucks every 6 months.

I hated when Comcast did this with no advance warning and it screwed up my ReplayTV recordings. It took me over a week to get the listings updated in my ReplayTV.

That is another thing I like about having the DirecTivo now. When they add or change channels it updates my Tivo automatically.

My TiVo updates automatically, so months can go by without my noticing.

Yeah but TIVO and Replay both get their listings from zap2it.com so if the cable company does not get their changes to zap2it, your TIVO will not get the proper changes to the lineup and record the wrong shows.

This can be a traumatic experience, that is only dulled by time and acceptance of the new world order.

Don't feel too bad, I have had my channel line-up change about 4 times in a year. Very confusing!

Man, I need Tivo!
