Didn't the covenant people do something with one of the test tubes before the attack? It looked like they used a syringe on one of them.

I'm not sure what to think about the end yet.

I was glad that we finally somewhat got to the bottom of things but it just seem so unrealistic. How does one extract the pulps from syn's teeth and re-insert them on the other body. Syn's "you know what? I'll just erase everything in my memory from the past two years" - I didn't like that part much, all this seemed too important to erase as painful as they were.

I'm pretty sure that Jack Bristow de-activated the failsafe C4 charges, which let McKennas Cole into the vault, where he picked up the vial. As he was escaping with the vial out of the SD-6 garage, the CIA team was pulling up, and they shot his car and him full of bullets.

(I'm in the middle of introducing my fiancee to Alias, so I got to watch almost all of Season 1 again with her recently. She's in the middle of Season 2 right now, and her housemates have gotten hooked on it as well. :))

Damn, Sark is cold, ordering the hit on his dad.

I guess i'm alone in saying that I didn't care for this episode.

just watched the end of the episode. the car did get shot with bullets, but qt escapes, and then syd beats him up, he doesn't move when he's down, but they don't offiically say that he was dead.

I dunno about you guys but this was The Best Episode of the year. So glad this show is back on.

Anyone else notice the Raiders homage via the Fedora hat Lazarey was wearing in the cave.

Have to agree. Season 3 started off pretty slow (compared to S1 & S2), not to say they were bad--just different from seasons past. But it's really picked up with the past 2-3 episodes... especially with tonight's.

Amazing that they managed to cover all the main points of what happened to Syd--from the missing two years to the memory loss--in a single ep.

Oh, and just to give some context to the line above:

"Your name is Julia Thorne."
"My name is Sydney Bristow you ugly bastard!"

Also loved Marshall's reluctance in acknowledging that he put a tracer on the Rumbaldi device. Another classic Marshall scene. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I liked the episode but I have to agree it's getting "out there." Part of the episode was believeable and part of it wasn't. First thing that comes to mind is the whole treasure in the pyramid except this was a cave setup. The one mile trek in that turned out to be crossing the street on the way back will the cave was crumbling. It's just a bit far fetched at this point. Then again it is tv and it's enjoyable to watch.

Even if McKennas Cole survived and Quentin Tarantino was playing the same character on Sunday he still should've recognized Sydney even as Julie Thorne. Hopefully there is more to this scene yet to come.

The main theme of this show is deceptive women. If Alias has taught us nothing else, it has shown how easily men are duped by women willing to put out...or even if they're just hot.

You have female spies, women who marry men to spy on them, and in Vaughn's case, probably to keep him from looking deeper into Sydney's disappearance. And if you look, the only three women who were noble, or at least not living double lives on their own account (Sloane's wife, Dixon's wife, Francie) all ended up dead.

It's an interesting theme to have, but it also made this "twist" all the more predictable. I mean, it's not even the first time Sark has called one of of these deceptive women to take someone out.

I am interested to see where things go from here however. Did Sark get away with the fertalized egg? What's his relationship with Lauren? Is she going to become pregnant with Sydney's baby?

As for Q.T./Cole, he was captured by the C.I.A., not killed. This begs the question, does that mean someone in the C.I.A. is involved with the Covenant? I don't think they'd just put Q.T.'s voice in there just because it sounds so cool. But it would be great to see him do another episode...The Box was great.

Well, since he'd be part of the Covenant, and they were testing her in that scene to make sure the brainwashing had been fully effective, then I'd say Cole know who she was in the first place.

D'oh. Got it. Then maybe it was McKennas Cole in the Covenant. But the character sounded a lot more reserved than the way McKennas Cole was in those episodes.

cracksky said that he would've recognized Sydney as Julia Thorne if that was the same character... well, yeah. The Covenant kidnapped Sydney in an attempt to turn her into Julia Thorne. So the Covenant board, or whoever those guys were, probably all knew who Julia really was, because they were the guys who nabbed her.

That's what makes his character so great. That and the guy has about nine lives to spend each season. He won't just go away and die.

Missed about a minute as my Tivo rebooted last night. Can someone fill in the gaps from when Kendell was talking to Syd re: Lazarey and the CIA and then the scene from the vault started? I rejoined right when Lazarey was trying out his key. Don't think I msised much, but ya never know.

WOW! Best episode of S3 so far! Yes, things started out a little slow this season and seemed to be going in all kinds of different directions, but they did a great job of bringing it all together and explaining it all.

And yes, it's TV, but most importantly, it's Alias, so suspension of disbelief is expected and encouraged.

I think the only thing you would've missed was Kendall explaining that Lazarey had spent 30 years finding all of the keys to the vault. Then they were just putting in the keys.

Well aside from some parental issues Sark has, we don't know exactly why Lazarey was killed just yet. I'm guessing to prevent him from giving Sydney any more information about Rembaldi.

At this point I don't believe we know why.

they all went to the B.A. Barraccass A-Team School of TV shooting. stand exactly 5 ft from a 3 story building, empty a 30 round clip in less than 10 secs and never hit a damn thing.

but u miss the sydney "the super spy" mis handeling her gun just prior to her getting tranqed.... she was holding the handgun in her right had, with her left finger on the triger ..... YOU CANT SHOOT LIKE THAT !!!!!!

but other than the above faux pas this show rocks .... she is so hot !!!!

I think this was the best episode of season 3 so far. I was so shocked to find out that Syd was responsible for her own memory loss over the past two years.

I really hope that the creators are going to bring back QT as Cole this season. He was such a great villian in season one, I have wanted him to return ever since then. I was shocked again when they showed that Vaughn's wife was the sniper at the end. After a slow start, this season is starting to get momentum.
