Sci-Fi tourney seeded, any interest?
With respect and props to turborobb and Chew, is there any interest in seeing a revamped Sci-Fi tournament with the shows actually seeded versus randomly drawn? It would be the same 4 bracket matchups. Ratings/seedings would have to be voted on, and this time we could do away with non scifi/cult like Friends.
I (or if anyone else wants to they are welcomed ot it)can take charge of this if there is any interest. I, and others have asked for this, so I will make an attempt.
Here is my 64, please note that shows that I watched but have not fallen in love with yet (B5, Buffy) are low because of this.

There's plenty of people who think some of the best shows got shut out early (myself included).
But, there certainly didn't seem to be a whole lot of interest in the last two rounds. Big part of that was either due to the "do-over" or the time gap between them (or even the choices). I'm not so sure doing it all over again will bring more responses even with a seeding.
But, I'll be here to vote if there is.

Not a great interest, but I'll vote as long as the thing is run in a fair manner, where one person's bias isn't dictating results.
That said, it's a bit laughable to call it "seeding" them when you have Frist Wave at 19 and The Prisoner at 49. This is the inherent flaw, I guess, since trying to "seed" them is about as arguable as the tournament itself.

That was just one persons' (however wrong it is) ranking, not to be used just to start it. Looking for a more fair Sci Fi/cult tournament that did not have the top shows knocking each other off in the first round. My initial thought was to poll everyone, than make a consensus poll and seed from there (kinda slow now during the holidays).

My intent wasn't to criticize your seeding so much as to point out the issue that we'd all seed the shows differently, and the act of seeding them could be as arduous as the actual tournament.
Perhaps to seed, you could have everyone assign a value from 1 to 5 to each show they've seen, average those out, randomize on ties, and go from there?
