Stupid ass NFL prempted King of the Hill!

I love watching football, but getting screwed out of 25 minutes of King of the Hill this week really chapped my hide. I would prefer it if they just allowed local stations to show it in full after the news. As it is, I won't get to see that episode until God knows when.

Watch for the repeat of the episode. It was laugh-out-loud hilarious.

This is news to you? FOX has been doing this forever. That is exactly why it took them almost two years to show all the new Futurama episodes.

You can see this episode two years after FOX cancels King of the Hill.

What really sucks is the way Fox teased us.

The first game (4:15 start) was almost over by 7:25 or so, thus, I thought I'd finally get to see an entire episode of KotH. At 7:30, when the first game ended, they went to another game that was still in progress! Needless to say, the second game and postgame show ended around 7:55. At that point, I would have preferred everything being shown in its entirety delayed by 30-minutes.

Oh, well.

Who the hell needs a postgame show anyway? My God. Let's watch a bunch of overpaid babies run around for a few hours, then analyze it.

Stupid Fox. Play our damn cartoons, you bastards. It's bad enough Family Guy, Futurama, and Andy Richter got the boot in favor of Futbaal (and reality crap), but don't be messin' with my favorite pencil penised Hank man from Texas.

The problem with Futbaal is once the game is over, some talking head idiots have to come on and tell us what happened during the game for the next hour, and that's on top of the sports broadcast during the news and directly after the news.

If I had a rocket launcher, some son of a bitch at Fox would die.

Directv Total Choice Plus & locals (Greensboro) - $39.99 a month

NY & LA Out-of-market ABC, NBC, CBS & FOX channels from Directv - $8 a month

Watching LA-market airings of first-run Futurama, Family Guy and KOTH episodes that were pre-empted on my locals and NY channels - priceless

I agree 100%.,, I LOOOOOOOOOOVVVEEEE football.. but the way they handled this was wrong.. bump everything back 30 mins or skip the postgame... or they could do something with FX.. move KOTH to FX or something like that

Y'know, I missed the first 5 minutes or so of the Cowboys game because someone fell asleep at Fox and didn't switch from the Seahawks game over to da Boys.

You just learn to live with it.

ah but then many on the west coast, head out on Sat night, then sleep past the first football games being they are on soooo early!! heh

as for pre-empted shows.. How is this for my all time network shaft story? I live in sacramento.. so last year you had the big NBA play off standings race between Dallas, LA and Sacramento....

sooooooooooo dallas VS LA are playing.. great game, back and forth race to the wire.. I watched if from tip off, right up to when they CUT AWAY from the last 3 min to show the preshow of the local kings game... WTF?!!?! To even rub it in more, they are talking about how this game matters more being "Dallas is playing LA today also".. yeah I know I WAS WATCHING the game you dirty bastards!!! I think I wrote hate mail to everyone over that..

Nothing like local tv cutting out network tv.. sigh.. They wrote me back that they felt local viewers wanted to see the kings game more. Ya sure maybe, the game but not the preshow. More like they wanted to gain those local ad $$$ over a network feed...

Too bad your local stations don't do what happens out here alot. Most of the time if a sport event over laps a network show, they list a time for it later in the week.. Like say 6pm on Tuesday or whatever. So at least one can catch the Ep if they want. Errr of course that is all on the local level, (kings game, giants baseball) with an event every now and then.

Where as many of you are running into time overlaps all the time due to a really late (for your time zone) west coast start time. Not sure that will ever stop.

Just like I will keep sleeping past that first football game being it starts too early on sunday! heh

It was mentioned on another board that Fox now says they're going to repeat the episode this coming Monday (22nd) at 8:30, after a rerun of the Simpsons Christmas episode.
