So far so good.

I like the way that if the artist wins, they give them all of the awards they would have one that night. Makes the show go by quick.

As for the musical guests:

No Doubt -- Great performace

Foo Fighters -- Loud as usual

Pink -- Pretty good

Sting -- Perfect! "Music is its own reward!"

Three things about tonights show have sucked:

Ryan Seacrest

Jessica and Nick

Triumph went a bit too long

Nicole Richie slipped a "shit" and a "****" past the censors. Triumph and Dave didn't. That's bullshit, man.

I actually liked Triumph and Dave - didn't pull any punches.

Mandy Moore looked gorgeous as always.

Foos rocked.

Sting is pathetic now, I'm sorry but it's true. Stuart and Andy must laugh at him everyday.

Pink is not comforting to look at.

Jessica/Nick - when are your fifteen minutes going to be up?

Clay Aiken scares me - he's just not right.

Whenever I have seen the new chick from the Black-Eyed Peas, she usually looks good, but not tonight.

Ok, someone please tell Simpson that she's hot and doesn't need to say anything. The whole "I'm so stupid" act is pathetic. Even more so cause it started cause she IS stupid.

Amy Lee (sp?) needs to move on to a new band w/ actual talent, because her pipes aren't too shabby.

Triumph killed!!!!!!!!
Best part of the whole show....

Was the guy who accepted the award for 50 Cent the same joker who always gets on stage at award shows, even though he's not supposed to be there? He said his name was Six, and I thought that was the name of the dude who climbed onstage with Foo Fighters, etc at recent award shows.

He was on Howard Stern once, talking about how he gets onstage, and I swear his name was Six. Hmmmm

Anyone?

I don't know if it was him but I thought Celine Dion looked awful nervous.

Well, that joker always mentions B.B. King. This joker didn't.

Maybe there's TWO awards shows jokers..?

I enjoyed the performances overall.

No Doubt opened the show. Great band. Reminds me of Blondie in a way.

Pink always puts a lot into her performance. Funny how they had to censor Pink flipping the bird and a dancer who appeared to be giving her head.

Beyonce looked hot as usual. Love the 100 Beyonce clones.

Sting is highly deserving of the award. Didn't care for the new song although you have to give him props for resisting to go completely AC.

Triumph ripped into Clay, Ruben, Britney, Sting, etc. Did he seem a little restrained? I enjoyed Clay and Kelly's reaction. Best part. Britney gave Madonna a wider young audience. Madonna gave Britney herpes. I'm glad it ran as long as it did. Seacrest was OK but he already hosted the Radio Music Awards. Triumph would make a great host.

I laughed when they censors did a poor job trying to stop Nicole with the F word and shit.

Nick and Jessica were lame with their supposed commentary.

For a guy that has a thuggish look, R. Kelly sings with such a high-pitched voice. I liked his entrance but I missed most of it because the show ran over.

It was the same guy. He called into Howard Stern today and explained how he did it. He just shows up looking the part and they let him in. He didn't know that 50 wasn't there but he knew it was the last award so he had to go up. Once he got on stage, he realized 50 couldn't be there and said he just went with it.

I can't believe he can get away with it. The guy was on stage and on camera for a long time and even snuck up a kiss with Celine Dion. I wonder if she had a clue afterwards.

Clarkson did have a funny look on her face. But I doubt it was because of the Britney remark. Why should she care? Clarkson doesn't lipsync. I think the look was because Triumph was just so vicious. But in a good way

And yes B.A.hist, Clay Aiken is truly one disturbing looking individual. A mix of Radiohead's Thom York meets Ed Grimley with a dash of albino.

He's nightmare-inducing scary. It just creeps me out to see his face plastered everywhere.

LOL! For real. I couldn't sleep for hours after watching the show. Thanks Fox for putting him on towards the end. I think live Clay is FAR worse than plastered Clay. What's most sad, he does think he's sexy. Doesn't he?

Oh, another thing about the show....Howard Stern played some soundbites from it this morning and was saying he thought Gwen Stephani sounded like crap. To which Robin said (in her defense) that it sounded like she couldn't hear the music. I saw a concert once where the lead singer encountered the same problem. She apologized after the song and said she was getting all sorts of distorted feedback in her earpiece. I love the original version of "It's My Life", I think it's one of the best songs from the 80's. When I first heard No Doubt remade it, I thought it was a terrible idea. But then I heard the song and thought they did it justice. I also thought it would probably be very difficult to do live because of the vocals. Gwen's range sounds different on this song to me.
