Saw this when watching a rerun of L&O:CI. Sweetness.

Any word if the atrocious Randy Newman theme song will make a return as well?

Considering that it was used to introduce Tony Shalhoub during the Comedy Central Awards show last week, I don't think the theme song is going anywhere.

That sucks. This last season everytime the show was starting I was reminded of the Family Guy apocalypse episode "She takes a bite. Two Bites. Three Bites... Walking away. Right foot. Left foot..."

Though that tune did grow on me, you just have to watch an old episode to see how much better the original opening was.
