thx for participating

Without context, Party hardy is a way of saying Party hard (or party a lot). So, maybe Otto was saying the partying began too late? Yeah, without context it's difficult to say.

Well, the class was was waiting for the school bus to go on a field trip to the Springfield nuclear power plant. So, Otto the bus driver was late, and when he pulled over, he said "sorry little dudes, party hardy was tardy." He meant that he was late because of the booze?

Not sure what the question is. Are you asking what a maple log is?
Yes.... not a clue ,man. After approving the Homer's proposal of putting a stop sign, the councilman said: "meeting adjourned, Coffee and maple logs in the lobby" What are maple logs? Looked up in many dictionaries...no way ..

Homer was a A supervisor who cared too much...cared too much about what?
He was fired from the plant, and when he was sitting in the Moe's tavern sucking on a beer , he said : " I'm just a technical supervisor who cared too much....".

Right across the plate in baseball means a pitch sent through? right?

Beer Duff and police chief Wiggum ..do these words mean something or they are just a trade mark and a name respectively?

In City Hall the councilman says: Coffe and maple log in the lobby... ??? What?

Let me guess, you are from outside the US?

The quote is "Party Hearty equals Tardy" meaning too much partying the night before and now he's late.

"Homer was a A supervisor who cared too much...cared too much about what?"

This is a joke that didn't go over very well. The reality is that he didn't care much at all.

Wiggum is a made up name. Duff beer is too, but it sounds similar to some beer names in the US. In Austrialia, they actually made a "Duff Beer" brand of beer, but it was quickly taken off the market.

"In City Hall the councilman says: Coffe and maple log in the lobby... ??? What? "

Simple just a statement, meaning refreshements in the lobby.

I thought a maple log was like that sweet, nut covered, maple thing you find at gas stations in the midwest?

I thought that was a pecan roll/log. I have never dealt with any of these nut covered roll/log things, so I do not know for sure. Sorry to add even more confusion to our non-American friend.

While I don't know of any other meaning to Wiggum, Duff means "something worthless" and has come to be a slang term for bottom, as in "Sitting on your duff".

The first time I remember Duff appearing was in the first-season episode Homer's Odyssey, when, after being fired from the power plant, Homer is lying on the couch watching television aimed at the unemployed and unemployable.

Duff Beer commercial: Unemployed? Out of work? Sober? You sat around the house all day, but now it's Duff time! Duff, the beer that makes the days fly by!

Homer: Beer. Now there's a temporary solution.

Does the Duff beer in simpson has anything to do with the Duff (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) in Average Joe?
