The only way to save it at this time is to :
1-Kill Kim
or
1- Full frontal of Kim
and 2
Actually release the virus in LA killing thousands.
As it stands, I watch it because I started and will watch it until the end, but it is too easily predictable and they are milking everything, why cant they contact Jack with 5 minutes to go instead of late EVERY F***ING TIME!

Kim Bauer's relentless idiocy has dulled even Cuthbert's appeal for me.
In truth, she's not really my type. That kind of guileless, soft, fuzzy blonde gets too much attention in America. (Sort of a junior version of Elisabeth Rohm.) She's like Snuggles the Fabric Softner Bear w/ big jugs.
And no, I'm not gay, so don't go there.

Every time I watch those scenes with Hector and his wife, I think maybe someone changed the channel on me and I'm watching a Mexican soap opera, only in English.
It's really too bad about Kyle Singer. I was really looking forward to his painful death instead I had to watch even more painful acting.
The show is still fun for me even though I agree its not up to par with previous seasons. There's a certain goofiness about it that is really entertaining. It's always fun when Jack says to someone "You'll just have to trust me!!" I think he said that half a dozen times last year. I start imagining all kinds of ridiculous scenarios he might put people through. "Take off your pants and put these clown shoes on! Listen, there's no time. You'll just have to trust me!"

I can almost see Palmer doing it. "You've done so much for the country, Jack..."

What I have noticed is the cliche approach of overlit cameras/sets for all the scenes in Mexico. Like the director went to see the film Traffic a few to many times. So lame!
Just like the blue hue nonsense they are compelled to do in the CTI control room ... we wondered when you would be joining us Mr. Bond ...
